Roxie- Rich Brown Lip Stain

Roxie is a deep rich brown lip stain.  It's great by itself, or wonderful for deepening the other lipstain colors.

I use this product just about every day since I got it a few weeks ago, and it is exactly what I was looking for. I dab most of the product off of the brush on the mouth of the tube and use a very light layer on my upper lip only -may sound weird but my bottom lip is a lot more pigmented already, my aim is just to balance out my upper invisilip - and then pat/blend with my finger.

This gives my lips definition without looking like I'm actually wearing anything, and it lasts all day. Seriously, ALL day. This is with hourly smearings of lip balm, getting food all over face, etc. I've tried long-wear lip liners from MAC and Smashbox in the hope of getting this same effect, but gave up on them all after a week or two because they didn't wear well or look natural, or they dried my lips out. My skin is very fair and I was a bit worried roxie would be too dark for what i wanted, but it's very versatile in that you can sheer it out or layer it up. The warm tones are a perfect match for my natural colouring, very flattering. I have also worn it in a more traditional fashion a couple of times, as a light stain all over the lips, and got compliments from strangers on the colour. This is a staple for me. And it's cheap! And it's not tested on animals! Gah!

I'm genuinely impressed. As a loyal fan to Vincent Longo's lip stains, Roxie has me reconsidering why I spend so much money. I actually think this could be a dupe for Neo Aura. I swatched on my hand and the stain spread evenly. On my lips it was a bit more streaky but I evened it out with my finger. I think the key is to have completely dry, oil free lips. I have eaten with it on, wiped my mouth with napkin and it's totally adhering. An hour in, and it looks like MLBB. I'm so happy. Might be holy grail status... we'll see

I have freckles and a ruddy nose and cheeks and this is about the only brown lip color that works for me. It looks very natural, goes on very evenly for a stain, and stays for a long time. I very rarely use lipstick but often wear Silk Naturals lip stains and I think that's why these stains don't dry my lips and go on so evenly.

Not as sheerReview by Melissa H.
Not as sheer as expected straight out of the tube -- turned a dark vampish red on my pigmented lips. Works a lot better when applied with a wet q-tip as suggested above!

A super lightReview by Kathleen C.
A super light layer of Roxie on my medium pigmented lips gives them a healthy MLBB blush. Layering with Dixie shifts the tone a bit more red without cooling it off -- very pretty!
It took me a while to warm up to the lip stains. For me, the key to even layering and a natural appearance is to apply the stain(s) with a wet Q-Tip.
I really love that these colors define my lip-shape and do not bleed into the tiny lines around my mouth.
Once they are dry, you can apply (and reapply) a sheer gloss for moisture and fullness without blurring the color

Really pleasantly surprisedReview by Angela D.
Really pleasantly surprised by this. Has great staying power, good color payoff, and can be layered for a deeper color. Great as a brown base for other lippies. Can't wait to try some more stains.

I LOVE Roxie!Review by Laurie G.
I LOVE Roxie! I just got back from a week long Mexican Cruise, and Roxie was my go-to lippie all week long. One coat made my pale pink lips pale orange-red. 2 coats-deep brown-red. Roxie with Glacier ALG-deep shimmery nude. Roxie with Blaze ALG- bright-ish red-orange with golden shimmer. Roxie with Iced Mocha Liquid Gloss-deep-ish shimmery tan-brown. I didn't experience anything close to 24 hour wear, nor did I want or expect to, however I did get a good 6 hours, which I think is great for any lippie. I am not experiencing any excess lip drying, but I do use my SN lipbalm faithfully every night.
I think this stain is a great addition to my lippie arsenal, and I am so pleased that I purchased it!

Roxie turns aReview by Triciana B.
Roxie turns a deep red on my lips, but my lips are naturally red at time, love this stain and top it off with the lip glaze that goes with it you have color for days. 100% satisfied with this product, I have been buying from Silk Naturals for the longest but this is my first review that should let you something.
