Multi-Use Minerals...and Safety

Shadows as blushes, blushes as lippies… minerals are multi-purpose…sort of.  While it's true, and awesome that you can use eye shadows as blush you do have to be a little bit careful.  The FDA has specific rules saying where it’s okay to use certain color additives.

Iron oxides and tin oxide can be used anywhere- eyes, face lips.  Other color additives are a bit trickier.

You cannot use ultramarines, ferric ferrocyanide, and chromium oxide green on your lips.  So double check your blues, greens, and purples before dabbing them onto your lips.

Dyes and eyes don’t mix at all.  Technically you can use Blue #1, and Red #40 (in Wish You Were Here blush), but to keep it simple in the morning- no dyes on your eyes.

We list the color additives in each product’s description, so you’ll always be able to find the info that you need!

Other than that- Have fun!
