Basalt-dark brown matte*

Basalt is the darkest deepest matte brown- it's essentially a very warm black shade, about the color of espresso beans. You can use this dry, or wet as a liner color. If you have dark hair this can also be used as a brow powder.

Basalt is volcanic rock- and this is part of our Geo line of eye shadows that are similar to the Bobbi Brown Stonewashed Nudes collection.

Ingredients: Mica, Titanium Dioxide, Zinc Oxide, Magnesium Myristate, Magnesium Stearate, Boron Nitride, Silica Also contains : Iron Oxides, Chromium Oxide Green

A note about clones:  We clone products so you can have the colors that you love, but with much better ingredients.  Because we don't use talc, bismuth oxychloride, binders, petroleum products or preservatives in our color formulas there may be some slight differences between the original and the SN clone.

I wanted to make the switch from mainstream liquid/pencil eyeliners to something more natural and gentle on my eyes, but I was worried about pigmentation. However, this is so perfectly pigmented. It doesn't require many layers, it glides on with a little water and the right brush, and it stays put all day. Will definitely purchase a few more eyeshadows to use as eyeliners!

This is my every day wear eyebrow filler and bottom lash filler. It blends perfect with my black hair without being harsh. Love it!

I use this as my HG brow filler. It is excellent for that. I have tried three different brow fillers from Silk Naturals: Deep Brown Brow Cream (sample), Deep Brunette Brow Powder, and Medium Ash Brow Powder.

They were pretty good, with Medium Ash coming the closest in making my brows look most naturally filled in (I love that it doesn't have red undertones), but I just needed a more "oomph" to my brows since they are so sparse. Or perhaps something "warmer" without screaming RED-BROWN since all of my coloring is rather warm toned. I have very dark hair for reference.

Basalt comes right in between Deep Brunette and Medium Ash for me, with enough depth to make my eyebrows more of a statement. Plus, it seems to last even longer than the other two and it doesn't get washed out when I use powders to blot.

So I love this as my usual brow filler (and Medium Ash for days I wanna look even more natural/soft). I only wear dark eyeshadows for special occasions, but this is all-around a /great/ color to keep around for those times. It is such a lovely, rich, deep color.

This is my everyday "go to" liner, it goes well with the neutral browns and grays , and yet it works equally well with colors.
