Hahaha, whaddayaknow... And yes, I would love a good recipe for homemade cheez, I love experimenting :)
The only hemp milk I found was a while ago in the nearby supermarket, but they are not very consistent and haven't seen it again. It did have a bit of extra flavor, but I did like it. Sorry, forgot what the brand was :/
I can't wait to try the coconut icecream, or may just have to make my own :) I never really liked dairy icecream much, always gave me a stomach ache, so yeah, not missing it much.

As soon as I get my hands on some more Daiya and gluten-free pasta, I'll make some mac and cheese using mimiccreme and earth balance. I bought 12 boxes of the real stuff (Annie's though) for the BF, and I've been drooling every time he makes some for himself.

well those scales won't know what hit them next week. we are doing a competition at my rosemary conley club "Lose a belly, win a telly". If I lose a stone in 12 weeks I have a chance to win a telly, so next week scales watch out.
I totally think you picked up some muscle mass Ghost, all the walking you did on holiday is bound to have burned calories and bulked up muscle somewhere, probably in your calves/thighs! :P

Ghost! Good luck! I agree... it could very well all be muscle. Your diligence has inspired me quite a bit. I bought the new sports bra today. I laid out my running clothes. I set my alarm clock.

ETA: I did it! I ran/walked for a little bit this morning. Let's see if I can do it again tomorrow.

Hi all

okay it's weigh day and I have lost 6lbs - yaaaaahhooooooooooooooooooo :mrgreen: This is a complete shock for me as I have done a little comfort eating due to job situation (6 slices of cake in a week - heaven). This means now I really have to watch what I eat this week cause if I don't I will gain.

Thank you zeeb and Superwahz for agreeing it was 'muscle' lol

Zeeb: I'm going to need some diligence this week. Lately I seem to have a problem with saying 'no' to things, so to help I'm going to write down everything I eat for a week, so I have to be honest with myself.

I also notice that I'm coming up to my 3 years dieting in early Dec and here's to me winning that telly.

Congrats to everyone! The amount of self discipline and hard work each of you show is really inspiring. It helps to push me along to my goals just hearing about all of the things that you do.
Ghost- 6 pounds in a week really proves the muscle theory. You have to have revved up your metabolism to lose that much!

Thanks, ladies! I read this and remembered to make today's exercise I wanted to make, but I was forgetting about it every day... since 2nd August...
I was going to bed thinking - tomorrow I'll start. Actually I have less weight that I should, but I have too big hips and a stomach. My husband wants more kids and recently he said - honey, are you sure we're not pregnant already? I am not pregnant and before it I should do smth about my health, do some exercise, especially for my back.

So today I did my exercise and I'll be reporting on how I improve myself))) Thanks for your example again!!!

I am reporting that I am closing in on 10 lbs. lost. I still need to start moving a little more, but it is working. The other cool thing.....I did have a few bad days this week, but it did not derail me for long. Actually, that is almost a bigger deal than losing the 10......

Zeebs...how'd the running go? I am curious, because I am currently in the 'I don't think I will ever run' camp, and would love to hear what you think about it, now. I almost wonder if the reason it sounds so out there for me is that I am in such poor shape now. Maybe that will change. If anything, turning 40 has taught me that I can still change my mind about most anything if there is a good reason to do so. I am no where near set in my ways, and I hope never to be. Call it my age of rebellion in a way! ;) (It doesn't quite feel like a midlife crisis if it is a rebellion....)

I am not overweight at all (due to pure luck) but 2 different people recently have patted my tummy pooch and asked if I was pregnant (including my mother, who patted my tummy and said 'is that all you?' - thanks Mum :x ) which has got me thinking that I really, really need to start exercising again (also of course for my general health, I spent 15 mins on the tramp with my kids today and and was pooped, whereas before kids I could run for an hour, or do back to back aerobics classes and was pretty toned :P
Anyway, so I just want to do a basic at-home resistance program 3x a week, and do some run/walk interval training. That's my plan. Hopefully posting on here will help with a bit of accountability!

Oh, by the way, I read this thread occasionally, although I am not sure if I have ever posted anything, and Ghost, you are a total inspiration!

And well done JenW, 10lbs is awesome :)

Zeebs, if you are running, want to be r(virtual) unning/walking buddies?

Oooo well done everyone! Ghost 6lb in a week is just mad... that's like half a stone in a week!!! Everyone tells us cake makes us fat to make us eat less so we don't stumble upon its magical powers! Well done laydee - thats really fab!!

Lily- I joined the gym last week, they have classes on there that are brutal but must work - I couldn't move the next day after body pump! They give you great ideas for floor stuff you can do at home too, if you have anything like that around you it might be worth seeing if you can grab a free taster session or something? They're great for crashing to steal their moves!!

I don't know if I've updated this thread, but I've also been losing a bit. I didn't realize how much I gained last winter, haha.

By doing pilates once a week and hot yoga once a week and cutting out cheese and most dairy from my diet (for other health reasons also) I've lost 14lbs since May. While it's not a huge amount, I honestly didn't need to lose a whole bunch, it was actually really hard as I really like fried food. I still made fried stuff, just less. :)

So wooo hooo everybody! Reading this thread has been inspirational. You all rock.
