Green or Blue Eyeshadows

I would like to venture into the light green and blue zones, but don't know if I can pull it off. Any suggestions for black hair, brown eyes, yellow undertoned stay at home mom? I have tried light pink and light purple eye shadows, but the colors make me look like I have swollen eyelids. Maybe it's my application method that needs tweaking.

If you want to go with light greens, I think Pixie and/or Festive would be worth a shot. Charmed is really nice, too, and would help to pick up some of the gold in your skin. Olive You is darker, but also has a goldy tone.

For blues, I'm wondering how Lake would look on you - it's a little coppery, and to me - coppery helps. Mist and Vapor might be nice, too. Gasp is great if you just want an ethereal kind of interference pigment blue - that one definitely wouldn't make you look like somebody hit you in the eye, but it may be too light for you. But if you're looking for really light, that'd be the one.

I don't think there is much I can add to Rhys's suggestions. They are very good! I know we have some gals out there with similar skintone who like som eof the blues and greens. I know LionT likes Butterfly Blue. I can't remember if there was a green, though.


Ohh, I just thought of something. In the NEW PRODUCTS SECTION there are the blues and greens from the Muse palette clone. These colors are sheer and not over the top on color. They might be just the perfect way to venture out into colors you have not tried because they are more subtle in finish. The blues are Bon Voyage and Cruise. Cruise is a nice medium blue. Also Spa is a lovely light green, and its counterpart Resort is in the midtoned range. I will get those colors into the regular green and blue sections soon.

I'm here ! Yellow undertone, dark brown eyes, stay at home home - that sounds like me too!
This is what I like.. May not be applicable to you, but as a reference..
Blues I like - Butterfly Blue. Cruise, Bon Vogage (liner/corners). Idolize is not exactly a blue (grey/plum/blue?) - but it is very wearable, versatile color. To me, a no brainer color when I feel lazy as it works with almost everything.
Pinks and Purples/Plum - Elle, Melange, and Breathe(on happy days)! Bewitched as a liner/corner on "wilder" days.
Greens that work for me - Didnt try that many. Shamrock works. Stircrazy doesnt. I avoid anything that says khaki or camoflouge.
Peach/ oranges don't work for me.

Oh.. to add.. many light/sheer shades dont show up that well for me, because my skin is more pigmented. But I use Karen's primer underneath, and it helps "boost" the colors.

Thanks for taking time to answer my question. I have decided to buy idolize, still considering mist. Thanks LionT, I would never have thought of trying this color if not for your suggestion.
