Post by Ghost » Fri Mar 13, 2009 3:55 pm

Hi Karen

I feel very selfish asking considering you've just done a mac order, but I just had to bring to your attention the Smashbox Muse 2009 spring eye palette http://www.smashbox.com/MUSE-ARTIST-EYE-PALETTE

The colours look perfect for this year and I've heard lots of good things about it

It's a pretty collection. A friend of mine owns the only UK retailed approved by Smashbox for official distribution and this is such a big seller for them. (I keep thinking she'd be an ace distributor for SN too, if ever that became a plan). It'd be a popular dupe, I think.

It couldn't have been the one that looks just like Summer Lovin could it?? I'm actually planning a trip to Sephora one of these days, and I'll check it out!

You're probably thinking of the Beauty Guru Palette that helena mentioned in this thread. Temptalia has swatches of Smashbox's Muse collection here.

I saw this palette at Ulta (or maybe it was Sephora?) a little while back and thought it was very pretty. I didn't buy it because the colors aren't my thing, but they are very beautiful in person.

WOW those swatches are gorgeous. Oh karen please say you'll dupe this. Am I the only one noticing that one of the colours looks just like breathe :?

Thanks for the swatches extemter

Hey Helena: When you say your friend is the official UK distributor for smashbox, are you talking about Just beauty Direct? Their prices for smashbox are amazing. The only other seller is QVC and they are a rip!!!!

Yeesh- I'm a sucker for swatches. I just bought it- apparently the Ulta they were going to open here is going to be a while, so I just bought it at Nordstrom's online. I can't promise anything else- I see bismuth in the ingredients list so I'm a bit worried, but I'll see what I can do.

Yeah, that's her! Jayne Wilkes and her hubby Simon. Full time CPS barristers until I introduced her to another mate of mine who built her a website so she wouldn't have to sell through ebay any more - then the JBD site took off so well that J&S quit their jobs and now run that full time. Fantastic! They carry a lot of ranges, and are always looking for ethical brands to join with... ahem... nudge wink... Karen... :D
