Silk Naturals Berry Collection

As you all know the theme for the first wave of the MOAC is a Berry theme. The main palette Karen used for inspiring her colors was a 'Pink Raspberry' face palette from a popular makeup line. I have seen all of the products side by side, and they are very close. I can't really say they are the same, because I feel Silk Naturals uses better ingredients.

If you were interested in getting the whole look from that palette, I would recommend the following:
Tart blush or Tart Light blush (if you are more on the fair side)
Berry Nice Kisser Slicker
Seedy Kisser Slicker
Bone for the cream colored eyeshadow
Slate for the gray eyeshadow -Slate will not be a 'dead on' match. It is a semi-matte shadow that is a half a shade lighter.

I think I need to try this combo for myself!

Jen! you've sucked me in on this one. I've eyed that palette a few times (BB fan that I am I still get the BB emails) but couldn't justify the price. Thank you again for pointing out the colors because I may not have figured that out myself (or it would've taken me a while.) I just placed an order yesterday but I may have to place another one already. (oops) Oh well - it's always fun to get packages in the mail.

I did these colors today. I think I overdid the Bone eyeshadow. I love the FO brush it is nice and small and not floppy. Other FO brushes I have tried did not work for me due to the floppiness.

I have a pic of swatches of the new lippies and thought I'd post it here. I hope it helps you choose.



The first two are more sheer in color and the second two are much more pigmented, as pigmented as the lipsticks. My camera did not pick up the golden sheen in Berry Crush at all. The color they will be on your lips depends on your level of pigmentation.

Oh my, jen you look absolutely lovely AND you've convinced me to get slate + berry nice. I was just swatching ALL my berry lippies and realizing i'd essentially been buying the same colour again and again, and telling myself "you don't need berry nice, you don't need berry nice".

Well just lost that battle. lol!

Slate is such a good basic gray. It does have a slight shimmer, but it really makes a great soft lining for the lashline. It is smokey, but not OTT and smoldering.

Thank you Karmen, Ann and Kahani for the compliments. I really didn't think the Tart light was going to work for me because I do lean a little warm from neutral. It worked, though!
