help me choose a cool muted red or plum lip for fall!

Hi lovely ladies!
I loved the depth of Bravado BUT Bravado was a bit too warm and ended up being kind of a brick red color on me. Pretty, but not the color it looks on everyone else (see pic).

I tend to warm lipsticks up a LOT so I may need a cool dark pink or a plum to get it to look like a muted wine red?

How sheer can you make Mayhem and Vamp? Or should I go for something lighter?

Have you looked at La-Dee-Da?
The green flecks are very subtle and keep the red in check - lovely color!

I'm looking for something with a little more drama than seedy/berry nice.
I'm afraid La-Dee-Da would pull quite brown on me, since I tend to warm shades up. I really have to stay in the range of almost purples to get a pink or wine color.
