What to buy?
What to buy?
Just mixed my first batch from samples- 20 scoops Medium Coverage to 2 scoops Ebony, 1 scoop Peach and 1 scoop Warm Gold- how much of each should I buy and how do I mix larger amounts in the correct proportions?
Re: What to buy?
First, I am curious what you have used in other foundations. This sounds very dark to me.
Since you use mostly Ebony color in your mix, I would buy an Ebony Starter Kit for foundation. Then from there, you can just buy pouches of the colors including white as you need them.
To upscale your recipe, just use a bigger spoon. You might still need your small spoon to get it right. And it does involve a little math.
Most people can get a 1/4tsp from measuring spoons used in the kitchen. The small spoon we send in the kits is a 1/32, a 1/4 tsp is equal to 8 of those.
The capacity of a large jar (30 gram) is about 100ish small spoons.
Your recipe is 24 spoons total in volume, but to give room for mixing, I would only do a multiple of 3. 3(20white, 2Ebony, 1Peach, 1WG)
You need 60white, 6Ebony, 3Peach, 3Warm Gold. The colors will need to be measured with the small spoon, but for the white, you can do 7 scoops with a 1/4 tsp (7*8 =56) and then add in 4 small scoops of white.

Re: What to buy?
I have been using Aromaleigh Voile 2L and it has been perfect- actually the Silk mix I made was a tad light but I know they tend to darken during the day just a bit and I like the brighter look- it disappeared into my skin.
Re: What to buy?
It just seems like that amount of pigment should be much darker when mixed well. Are you adding a full scoop of Peach or just a little? It is the part that is odd. The rest works out to be close to a 2, but the Peach makes it pretty deep.
I guess the short version....it might darken up more than you think, so be prepared.
