Anyway, first of all, I gotta apologize to Karen and the team big time for "accusing" them for "abandoning" us the pigmented lips with the creation of some particular lippies, like Darling and the likes.
When I ordered Darling I had really high hopes. But on the usual Sunday where me and my sisters do our routine playdate with our makeups and I got to try on the new lippies that arrived, I was bummed when saw Darling did nothing to my lips except making me look like wearing clear gloss. I told my fairer sister to try it on, it was REALLY GOOD on her, and just handed it to her. I tried it again a couple more times because I wanted to like it but still it disappointed me each time and I gave up.
Today, I just got another Darling and an Ingenue through a swap. I intended to give Darling to my sister because she really likes it. But since I got the package just right before I left for work, I put them in my purse and brought them along to work.
I tried Ingenue (I thought it would be real peach, but found it showed as pink on my lips, like NYX's Tea Rose, except that it looks garish and horrible on me) and decided to put it on for work, replacing my lightly dabbed Azalea these few days back.
I'm working overtime and just went to the girl's room to try on Darling one more time. This time I layed it on thick, put on some layers, and still only saw the colors of my lips shows through. I went back to my desk, did some work, and forget my lips for a moment.
I got mirror screen protector for my iPhone. When I caught a glimpse of myself on my iPhone screen I saw this beautiful color on my lips. I pull out my small mirror and WOWZA, Darling IS THE MOST GORGEOUS PEACHIE-PINK SHADE!!!
I remember back and realized that many of SN lippies actually look good after I let it settles for some time, then it shows its true color. Almost all of them, in fact. Maiden, Cultured, Mirage, Caramel, St. Tropez, Aria.
So the tricks for pigmented lips ladies are to lay it on thick for the sheer lippies and -the most important thing- let it settles for 1-2minutes. You'll see the gorgeous real color shows through.
I sure hope this can help SN newbies, before deciding that a shade doesn't work on her and give them up or swap them, and then regret.

P.S.: I got the urge to try Darling one last time from seeing Aud's gorgeous lip swatches. Thanks!

P.P.S.: Keep up the good work Karen!! Since I know SN I've been trying to find dupes for every shade in other brands I love.
