The V-day matte e/c from Thea

Post by 4wheel » Fri Jan 28, 2011 11:33 pm

Karen, I just wanted to thank you for having Thea on the SN team. :D :D I SOOOO LOVE the mattes she did for V-day. I hope these are staying ...please and thanks again. The colors have a great natural look for me and have many compliments all this week. I think Cutie Pie is my fave, but all of them are just awesome... :)

Thank you so much for posting this! She's super talented, and it's fun watching her blossom and strut her stuff. The purple trio she did blew me away. The way she blended them out, and made them different textures made me really awestruck. I hope she'll keep adding to collections after she graduates because I get the fun of seeing what will be in the collection too!

LOL, Karen the purples are next on my list. How did you know? :D Can't wait to try them. These are the creamiest mattes and so easy to work. Not at all like other brands I have. And I so love to mix up the colors and texture in eye colors and these are just the best to far I have had to work with. :) :)

I've got to echo 4wheel in the strongest terms. These mattes are sublime. It's become a bit of a quest for the holy grail trying to find mineral eyeshadow mattes that are not bland and do not have chalky texture problems. There was one other company that did decent-ish mattes and that kept a lot of us customers there for a long time for lack of other options. I'm not much of a blog follower but whenever I'm googling for swatches in blogland, searching for decent mattes and lamenting the necessity of frequenting unfavourable outlets is still a common topic for discussion.

When the Suede Collection come along, I just about ate my hat in delight. (That's a British saying, incase you're wondering lol). They flatter older eyes with umm... lets say texture-challenged skin. They're wearable, safe for work and as far removed from boring as can be. Best of all, mine haven't been out of use since I laid my paws on them.

Thea just took that to a new height and they make an ideal compliment to the Suedes. This little unassuming collection of neutral-plain eyeshadows just drew a line in the sand for all minerals to challenge and none have come close before. I sincerely ask that this collection be extended. The 'matte with a hint of pearl to lift the texture' mineral eyeshadow has been an urban myth... until now. 8-)

(Okay, I'm all out of metaphors but somehow "Cheers and well done" just didn't cut it enough for the purpose  )

I always stay away from mattes, but now I am tempted to try these. Too bad I am still on a no buy.

I agree, I LOVE Cutie Pie! Thea did a great job with it. I like the suede finish.

Also, Adorn is amazing!
