I am a NC25 with MAC; as for Silk Naturals I am using Medium Coverage Ivory + Warm Gold (6:1). I have always been troubled by my dark eye circle and the fine lines. Read about the rave for [Sleep in a Jar] concealer and is very tempted to give it a try. would appreciate if anyone can advise me, which color I should pick?
My other concern is that I have fine eyes underneath my eyes hence I am worry the powder will ends up "sitting" on the lines. Do you have any suggestion or tips when applying the powder concealer?
Any suggestion or tips will be greatly appreciated. Thank you! (:

Re: Color Advise - Concealer for Undereye
my advice would be to get samples of the yellow, light peach, and medium peach SIAJ. the light peach is perfect for covering my dark undereye circles, but i think i have more peachy tones in my skin so i'm wondering if the yellow might work out a little better for you. also i am having a hard time getting your depth of color from the photo, so that's why i would try both the light and medium peach.
in my experience, the powder concealers don't really settle into fine lines, so i wouldn't worry too much about that. on the other hand, i find that they don't last long either without being layered over a liquid or cream primer of some kind. if you use a primer, you might notice that fine lines can be emphasized.
right before karen came out with her cream concealers, i bought a MAC studio fix cream concealer. i was disappointed because the cream concealer really did make my fine lines more noticeable. however i discovered that i was using too much. now, i touch my ring finger to the product, getting only a tiny bit on my fingertip--and i use that for BOTH of my undereyes. then i put the light peach sleep in a jar on top of that. this has worked really well for me--lasts and doesn't emphasize fine lines.
i only tried a gumball of karen's creamy concealer, and i know that she reformulated them before making them part of the regular line. i know that lots of people really like them, but they have a firmer consistency than many cream concealers and need to be warmed up a little before use. you may want to try a sample of the cream concealer as well.

Re: Color Advise - Concealer for Undereye
thank you so much for your recommendation. i have been waiting for some angel to reply my post before placing my order. your advise and recommendation certainly helps me a lot!
i have tried MAC studio fix cream concealer and Bobby Brown concealer before. but i too was quite disappointed with the end result. especially for Bobby Brown, it makes my fine lines look even more obvious.
i have not taken a look at the cream concealer but i will most certainly check it out and maybe get a sample of that.

I use an approach similar to Packgal... Most cream concealers settle into the fine lines around my eyes, powders don't since they are matte and I can blend them in really well with a soft brush---but they don't last long enough!
I've tried the SN concealer but I don't think I tried the final version yet, I'm holding out for a yellow version.
Til then, I normally just blend the e/s primer around my eye area, then mist my face with rose hydrosol and blend an extra layer of foundation beneath my eyes. It wears off eventually, just like everything else does, but at least it doesn't get stuck in the lines!
