What SN shadow would look like this?

Post by cargoee » Fri Jun 25, 2010 8:31 pm

I was discussing this over on Chanty's forum...
This shadow is from another company and while I am not asking anyone to dupe it, the reason I am not just getting this one is because people who have worn it and shown it in applied or swatch- it does not look at all like the picture shown!
Image
It actually is a green shade, whereas here it looks like a very shimmery taupe-ish neutral ?

Is there a SN shadow for me to put in my cart that applies the way this picture looks?
I was thinking possibly a mix of Cougar and Quartzite but perhaps there is just one beautiful shade that is actually this color!
It doesn't look "gold" and it doesn't look "silver" ... it looks like a very sparkly shimmery taupe tan pearl color?
I know I may not make any sense but now I am obssessed with what this picture looks like and I realize I cannot just order it because it's completely different. :geek:
Anyone have any ideas to share?
Thanks for your help!

I'm not sure these are the closest, but I think the d/c colors Riviera or Venus would work. I don't currently own Quartzite, and can't quite remember what it looks like exactly, but I think it might be the closest from the current product line. Boom might be too warm, though it is probably close to the right effect. I am also wondering about Sonic.

I don't own a lot of the highlighers, so others may be better able to advise. HTH.

Oh, the finish might be accomplished with Cream, but the shade wouldn't be quite right... it would need a little deepening.

it SOUNDS like you're saying it's a greenish khaki shimmer- in which case i'd look at the GWP colors Vida, Fuse, and Trip or existing colors for purchase Danny, Spa, and Patina

If, on the other hand, you're looking for a shimmery tan neutral, I'd go with quartzite, bare or tailfeather. the new color, homecoming queen looks appealing too.

Hehe, I think it looks like Gargle Blaster! Though Gargle Blaster is hardcore shimmery, so probably not what you're looking for. And it's got some green. Tailfeather is probably close as you're gonna get as far as a SN color you can buy. It has no green in it, but it does have more of a pearl finish than most other SN shadows.

Maybe Tailfeather and Gargle Blaster mixed together!? :P

Of the GWPs, maybe Amalgam, though Amalgam is more shimmery gold. Or Brook, though Brook is on me a bit more grey. Neither one has a pearl finish...
