What size products do I order???

Post by TammyH » Sun May 09, 2010 3:53 pm

I just found my perfect match - now I am wondering how much do I need to order to maintain my supply? I have found that my ratio is 8:1 1/2 Medium Ivory : Olive. When I was looking at the different sizes offered I seen the 1 tablespoon baggie and the starter kit..what size is in the starter kit? What is in the Medium Olive started kit? Since I don't need the other tinted bases, is this what I need? If I order a 1 tablespoon baggie of each - will that be enough?

I would also like some input on brushes. I ordered the small flat-top kabuki, and while it feels wonderful on my skin when applying my MMU - it gives me a really heavy coverage. I also have the BE full face brush - but I am wondering since SN is a finer consistency than BE if this the right brush? I am wanting to layer coverage as some days my skin is in better shape and I don't need as much coverage. I have seen many posts about the Eco Brushes and I am thinking of purchasing the kit.

Thanks in advance for your answers.....

I apologize but the amounts I posted earlier were wrong - I have been mixing a half size so I would not use all of my samples while trying to find my best match - for a full size my ratio is 16:3 Medium coverage:Olive.

First of all, I would try the brushes you have just to see how they work for you. It just makes sense to try what you have before making a purchase. I would also try a swirly bowl of sorts and tap the brush you have off to see if it makes a difference. In my opinion the ecotools brushes great for finishing powders, but they are slightly floppy. Others like them very much. I use the Ultimate Kabuki (the one Karen sells) because I want lighter coverage than my flat top gives, but don't like the floppiness of the ecotools brushes and kabukis. (Yes, I have a brush problem to go along with my lippie addiction.)

You should purchase the Olive Kit. Once you run out of the White (you will run out of it first), you can just buy a refill pouch of the white. The foundation kits come with a jar (it is a 20 gram jar and larger than the one in the sample kit) and scoop for mixing...sizes of the pouches are the same as the refills which is 1T. Depending on how much foundation you use, a pouch can last for several months.
