Another use for the mixing medium - brow gel

Post by lilychemgirl » Sun Mar 14, 2010 7:36 pm

I just thought I'd mention this, as I haven't really been using the mixing medium I got as a liner since I got a clear liner that I prefer, but I love it as a brow gel. I have a toothbrush that I keep just for the purpose, and just squeeze a bit on and brush my brows, it keeps them in place all day :)

Hmmm...I might have to try this. I've never used a brow gel before, but I have a pod of the mixing medium (I got it as a gumball) that I don't use. I tried it once and didn't really care for it.

Something new to try next weekend!

Yep, I've tried that too. It also works well with the clear liner sealer in case you don't have the mixing medium.

Oh yeah, I've been using my sealer for that purpose almost exclusively. I have a brush with liner on one end and spoolie on the other, works great!

I use the clear liner sealer for my brows too! Works just as well as the wax/powder compact I used to use from some other brand, and the brow color actually makes a convincing brow on me. I use it with the angled SN eyebrow brush. Plus, it lasts longer than some of the other products I've tried in the past. I'll have to see how it works with the mixing medium!

I have almost non-existent brows, so if I don't fill them in every day I look like...well...I'm not gonna say what I look like.

i'm going to resurrect this thread to ask a question instead of making a whole new one--

for those of you who use the clear cream liner as an eyebrow wax, do you put in on before or after your brow powder?

TIA :)

I don't have any but if I did I'd use the cream product first and then the powder one to set it. That's one of my rules in makeup in general, anything that's not powder should be put first and then set with powder (I set powder with powder too, come to think of it, if that makes sense :D)

thanks ruby. that's what i was thinking too. i wonder if the cream liner underneath makes the powder appear darker at all--wondering if i will have to go one shade lighter in order to offset that. i should just try it out and see i guess :) thanks again!
