What's the difference between these golden pinks?

Post by feyith » Tue Mar 09, 2010 1:31 am

There's something wrong with me. I love pinks and purples with gold sparkle and I am desperately trying to talk myself out of needing absolutely every single one.

I have: 9:59, Candid, Cashmere, Pink Twink, Pop.

I'm eyeing: Adventure, Cherry Blossom, Chestnut, Chills, Fete, Frills, Naughty, Nekkid, Plush, Purr, Thrills.

Are all of these MUST must haves or are some of them overly similar to others? I keep justifying it to myself that I'm trying out colors for the wedding but seriously, how many of the same colors can one gal possibly own? [Did I miss any?]

I have cherry blossom, plush and nekkid, and I don't think any of them are too similar to colours you have to buy. Cherry blossom is a gorgeous light pink shimmer, plush is kind of plummy, and nekkid is peachy. Crap colour descriptions, lol, but worth buying :)

Okay so IMO Fete and 9:59 are interchangeable. Fete is SLIGHTLY more brown and less shimmery, however, they give basically the same effect on me.

Nekkid is quite warm. I can't compare it to the e/s you own, but it's got like a pinky-peachy thing going on.

Purrr is also quite warm. I found it too warm for my complexion (I'm very fair - see avatar) whereas I can wear Nekkid. IDK exactly how they are different because I gave Purr to someone else. I think Nekkid and Purrr are very similar though.

Chills is a cool/neutral pink, and is very light.

Frills is a beautiful brownish pink. I think I would recommend this as the "office version" of 9:59 and Fete. You definitely don't need Fete, 9:59, AND Frills, as they are quite similar... that being said, these are my three favorite colors... so if you LOVE 9:59 you might also want Fete and Frills.

Nekkid and Purr are indeed similar, but I find Nekkid warmer and more intense.

Interestingly, even though Zeebs's coloring is similar to mine, I love Purr and user it as an everyday shadow, almost as much as Boom. I avoid Nekkid unless I'm going for something dramatic: it makes my blue eyes pop a little too much, like I'm crying (not sure how to explain, but definitely not something I reach for too often).

Oh, and Plush is a must :D I like wearing it along with Purr, Cabin Fever, 9:59 or even Pink Twink.

purr and nekkid are similar- nekkid is pinker, purr is peachier but they're both peachy in general- i would have to get them out to say for sure but i also think purr has more shimmer. I'm not sure you need both- i have both, i favor nekkid.

chestnut is deep and beautiful with strong copper tones. Fete has more of a sheen
