I'm slipping away for a few days...

Post by karen » Thu Feb 11, 2010 12:17 am

I'm stepping back from the forum for the next week or so. I'm not offline- at least for the moment, and you can absolutely reach us through the "contact us" link on the site. It's just easier to keep all of the questions etc in one place for the moment rather than chasing individual threads...especially when we're kind of scattered at the moment.

I hope the snow isn't as bad up there as it is down here- it would really stink to have to move in all this snow.

I walked to work this morning in blizzard conditions- it took me 40 minutes to go a mile and a half and i have no intention of walking tomorrow. One of the chefs drove me home in his sup'd up SUV. I can barely open my door, i can't imagine trying to carry boxes and furniture out it. Good luck, stay warm, and keep it fun!

You really have gotten a lot of snow down there. I can't imagine how yucky it must be. We only got a few inches, and our snow removal crews are fantastic. Downtown T-burg has a whole crew of guys who clear-off all of the sidewalks with heavy equipment, so they're usually really clean. We're only moving a few blocks, but yes, I'm hoping the weather holds.

I'll be praying that it all goes really smoothly for you and that you get some rest and fun over those days, too.
