Cake Mascara!!!!

Post by heavenlyfox » Fri Nov 20, 2009 11:41 pm

I would love it if SN would make a cake mascara! i love cake mascaras and i can never find one that isn't $28! lol

but it may be a better option for those ladies that would like a mascara with not as many preservatives (if that is ever possible lol)

I love the one I got from Twink beauty on etsy (am I allowed to say that here?) but if SN made one I'd definitely give it a try, assuming it could be made without parabens.

(Googles....) Oh, neat! Yeah, I would like to try it too. The ones I found all looked pressed though - do they come in lose form? Would it be possible just to dump some mascara-worthy minerals in a small tube with a brush and just dip it?

I think loose would end up in your eyes :? Mine is a cake, you moisten it with a few drops of water, and then rub the brush around in it and use. I wash the brush off after each use, so it is pretty sanitary :)

I just googled cake mascara too - and I'd LOVE to try something like this. As a weekly traveler for work, I am always looking for ways to stuff fewer liquids into the tiny zip lock bag

I have to chime in on this one and say don't get your hopes up. I know that there are places that make them, and I actually used one that was pretty cool- but I'm just not convinced it's a safe product. I'm really sketchy about the eye area, and the idea of releasing something into general circulation that is designed to be used with tap water over a long period of time just scares me. I know that there are a few places that make them, and then sell a preserved wetting agent to go with it, but it sort of defeats the purpose- at least for me.
