Light lavender shimmery e/s

Post by Trainer » Sat Aug 01, 2009 10:37 am

Hi! I'm looking for a very light lavender e/s that is sparkly. I have breathe which I love but I am looking for something more light lavender. I bought Hint but it is too pink for what I am looking for. I was wondering if gasp has visible lavender highlights and can be worn as a wash of color? Something like Nekkid but for lavender. Thanks! :D

I can't think of one - it's something I'd really like, too. In my mind, I'd love a range of pastle colours in the style of Spirte (pale white and gold), Nekkid or Whisper. A recent GWP, "Elle", was very close but a little more pink than baby-blue lavender. If you'd want to mix, perhaps matte Iris (lilac) with a little Demin (deeper matte blue) mixed with something like Gasp (sheer white with a shimmery blue / purple interference) could work.

It's funny but I've seen requests for a light shimmery lavender eyeshadow in a few mineral places and there just doesn't seem to be one around. It's clearly in demand, maybe Karen could add it to the wishlist when she's back from holiday.

escape is probably your best bet, or a combo of iris and gasp (iris for the color, gasp for the shimmer)

Oh thank you both, I never looked at the matte e/s before. Yes maybe Iris will work with gasp... I've never mixed eyeshadows before. Is there a special way to do it or do you just put a little of each in a bowl and mix it?
Thanks, I'll have to get them and try it! :D

I think Breathe might work as well. It's more bluish/lavender than purple, and it's nice and shiny :)

Is pop lighter than breathe? Do you know how long Pop and Fairy dust will be available? Thanks!

Hi Trainer,

I've had the same issue too, and ended up finding what I was after elsewhere unfortunately - I feel guilty mentioning it but http://www.meowcosmetics.com have a boat load of lilacs, lavenders etc in a variety of finishes so it may be worth a look.

Left to right are the ones I've tried - Lazy, Vindictive, Imperial.

Kitten,
Thanks for the info. I really love SN too, so maybe if we ask Karen extra nice ;) she might make one for us? She was so nice to make the liberty glow available before she went on vacation! Some people have mentioned pop have you tried it? It looks similar to breathe, which I have, in the picture.
As an aside, From your posts we seem to like the same colors! I looked for the champagne lip gloss, you have in your signature, but couldn't find it (did you buy it a while ago?) so I got modern poet instead which I like alot. I've been looking for a nude lippie that isnt very pink. I got centerfold which is very nice, but I was suprised how pink it looks on my lips. I got birthday suit, which I also like but it is darker than I want now, so I'm going to save that for the fall.
Take care

Oooh if you like nude lippies then may I reccommend Maiden? It's gorgeous. I did indeed buy Champagne some time ago but Modern Poet is lovely too.
