orange lip colour
orange lip colour
what are some of the orange lipcolours that this site have? like the straight orange ones. not the brown orange, yellow orange or anything like that. pinky orange/peach will do too. i wanna use it as my undereye concealer. the powder one is a bit too messy and drying for me and if i mix it with liquid, there won't be any coverage.. thanks
Re: orange lip colour
If you're sure that's how you want to apply under eye concealer (sounds intriguing), I'd recommend the Pure Black Label lippy. It's completely clear. I know you asked for orange, but I'm thinking that if you want to use a lippy for a moisturising base, that would be the best one and least likely to contain anything which could irritate sensitive eye tissue. It would also give the most control over colour blending because it's clear. You could add the ready-made under eye concealers to a little melted Pure lippy, or perhaps add your own custom blend of foundation base colour and heavy Ivory foundation.
Good luck with it and I'd love to hear how you get on. I know people love using the SN lippies as moisturising cream blushes, lip balm and colour could make a very nourishing under eye concealer if you get the right texture base which won't irritate or be too heavy and oily to cause problems. Please do be careful though.

Re: orange lip colour
I can comment on the current lippies. We don't have a true orange. The only matte nude peach we have is Caramel, but it does have a brown component to the color. All of the others that would be close to the color you are looking for have some level of shimmer in them. I have never thought to try a lippie for an under eye concealer. I think it would be to thick and glossy to look right.

Re: orange lip colour
I've seen a similar oil based non-coloured products for under eye skin marketed at the over 50+ age group because the drier, crepey skin can benefit from the right blend of oils, but this kind of thing for delicate eye area tissue really does need careful attention so that nourishing, easily-absorbed oils are used as the base for the product. Oils are so very different - from their textures to their properties, as we all know. I'd be very reluctant to use a lip product around my eyes because a product made suitable for the lip tissue is going to be very different to one suitable for eye area tissue. I'm assuming gyoon has taken all this into account. I can think of a number of reasons not to try this, one simple one being that to remove the residue that the oil-based product would leave would accelerate the ageing of skin tissue. I remember the UK director of Gatineau (French salon brand) stating that in excess of 80% of the ageing that appears around the eye area is directly attributable to manual damage - the rubbing and touching etc of applying and removing makeup and how we handle the delicate skin when cleansing etc. So using an oil-based carrying agent to apply concealer would need more thorough cleansing - perhaps young skin appears to tolerate that but in ten years time, the effects would show in ageing more quickly.JenW wrote: I think it would be to thick and glossy to look right.
