I guess it would be hard to try and take care of two things at once. I am a makeup lover and I was going through pages and pages of mineral makeup sites a little over a week ago and stumbled across yours and thought oh what the heck let's just try one more, it seemed as if I had tried a lot of the rest. And to my suprise your products are great. I even told my friend Marie in Sweden about your stuff and she placed an order for samples. Do you offer specials or free gifts with purchase monthly or do you just do it for a special treat from time to time? I am new and I have a lot to learn. One more thing how would you describe the feel of the original foundation? I am anxious to try it- I have never mixed my own and simply can't wait to try. I seem to have a hard time trying to find my perfect foundation color. Can't wait to see more new products.
Blessings, AH-Ky

I've always hated the feel of makeup... until I found Karen's foundations... It feels like ... SKIN... and looks like yourself but better...
Don't really know how to describe it. The PP adds a lovely glow to my skin (I use it by itself sometimes) while the foundation evens out my skin tone but adds like a muted luminous light. I think it makes me look younger and fresher.
Mixing the foundation was kinda scary at first.. took me two months from the time I bought the kit to the time I actually opened it and tried it. In the meantime I was in love with PP. Once I did start mixing, I wondered why on earth I took so long... LOL! But seriously, try mixing.. it really isn't too hard and Karen does send a lovely how to sheet with each order.
*edited to add.. I only use the original formula.. haven't tried the new ones yet cos I'm really not looking for coverage... just to look better than normal. I believe my imperfections (like spots and moles) are just part of me.. nothing to hide :

I really like Delight - it's a soft pinky coral on me, though mostly pink. Was a little surprised at that, but it's a beautiful toned-down colour on my lips. Go over it with a little Sparkle (I love Sparkle) for a slightly more glossy finish.
And Beloved - perfect. Medium dark pink with just that hint of gold in it - I love it!
Had a chance to try out the silk powder and the primer, too. My skin is dry most of the time, but I do have a few visible pores, and the primer indeed de-visibled them completely. It didn't leave me way too matte, either. The pure silk powder, on the other hand, really DID make me way too matte.
So I'm thinking that if your skin is oily, you might want to give the pure silk powder a try. We're all different, but that was the one that took away all my skin oils - I don't have a lot to start with, but on me it was definitely the stronger of the two. And I think I want to keep the primer around for the pore-blurring effect - it's amazing.

Reporting back on the new under eye concealer again after two more weeks....
I didn't try the add-white-foundation-base trick Karen suggested because I was pretty certain I'd add too much and mess up the whole thing, so I just experimented with different layering techniques, using it along with Perfecting Powder and SN foundation and the two kinds of SN concealers, but no luck so far... the color is always a little bit off.
But I've come to love the formula. It holds up well throughout the day and in different weathers and is very non-drying. My skin is dry even in the subtropical summer, and the skin around my eyes always gets wrinkly after a day of concealer-wearing. I didn't know how drying those concealers were until I'm using this new SN one. I never knew my eyes could look this not-tired after an entire day. I always thought it was me. Now I know it's the makeup!
I've tried under eye concealers from Sante (a German all-natural organic skincare brand), Bobbi Brown, MAC and Shu Uemura in recent years. The Shu Uemura one provides the best coverage and tonal harmony but the ingredients are yucky, somewhat irritating and still drying despite being a cream formula. The Sante one is made of wholesome ingredients and provides pretty good coverage (ELLE US has a little rave for it when it's reviewing organic makeup a couple months ago. I think it's July? I saw it on its website.) but is still drying, and the pencil format means a lot of pulling at delicate skin when applying. The BB and the MAC ones are not even worth mentioning. Very drying and icky.
So far, formula-wise, SN is the overall winner. Kudos to Karen again. I'm looking forward to its official debut
