I bought the silk powder, which I have used and now believe it is the best I have found. I also got the heavy coverage foundation that I have mixed up for concealer, and I love it just for that purpose because I really don't need it all over my face. The one thing I was really disappointed in was Beloved---I know most really love this, I love the color, but the glitter is too much-when the color fades a bit with wear I end up with big specks of glitter. None of my other lippies are like that--is it just a freak thing? I don't mind sparkles but this just doesn't work for me.

Wow! How different things are on different people! Actually, I just came in to *rave* about Beloved on me,LOL! One of my favorite lippies is Berry Crush, & that's likely why I just LOVE this color. There are lippies that others love & rave about that are not so great on me; guess it boils down to preferences & actual coloring.

Just used Fresh & like it! :-) Hopefully hubby will think I'm 6 yrs younger & many lbs lighter ;-)!

Mixed up a batch with the medium coverage foundation & used that today with Forbidden blush & Tahiti Sweetie bronzer. Winners!

On eyes, I did something different. Used Morel as backdrop, then grabbed Haze for all over lid & heavier in crease. Nice & smoky! Envy cream liner, then dabbed over it to "set" it with more Haze. Nice effect! A *little* touch of Orchid above pupil. SN mascara.

Used the Beloved as lippie & it's perfect for me!

*Happy dance! Happy dance!*

Hi Ladies,
Got my haul yesterday...had to *sneak* it in past dh with all the junk mail that usually comes in on Fridays. Was in a huge hurry; was late for a bday party, so I didn't even get a chance to *play* till last night about 10ish.
Got some mixed feelings......
Ordered samples of both Fresh and Tease. Not sure if my nose is messed up, but to me, they both smell identical....not sure if they were mislabeled. They both smell *faintly* grapefruit-y, and nice; I like them, and would wear them, but not sure if they are both Fresh. Not sure if I should e-mail Karen, since I am not sure what I would say.

I ordered both Amour and Beloved lippies. Not thrilled, but not bummed about either of them. I guess I thought Amour would be browner. I do like the shimmer, but something about it *pinks* up on me. Beloved is interesting, sort of how EDM's Girls Day would look like as a *good* lippie. I think it will grow on me. I think that I may have to face up to the fact that as much as I want the SN lippies to be my HG, sadly, they aren't. I think it's because I am much more of a lipstick girl, and I really prefer a thicker tube.(boy, THAT sounded dirty didn't it? LOL)

I ordered Bling and Plush e/s. Loved Bling as I knew I would. I have hazel eyes, and greeny golds, or goldy greens really make the color POP. Plush arrived a little worse for wear, lid barely screwed on, no cover on sifter, powder all over inside of lid, BUT wonder of wonders, none spilled at all over the inside of my package, and once I set it down, everything looks like it'll settle down ok. The color! OMGosh, Plush is so gorgeous.....I can't even describe it, not brown, not plum, not copper, but such a lovely mix. I have really deep set eyes, so I only do a 2 color eye, and I can easily see it becoming an HG.

I ordered all 4 of the new liner colors, They all look just gorgeous. I can see me using them more from lash to crease really lightly as sort of a base for a similar e/s......i.e, Fort Knot for Bling, Black Cherry for Plush, etc. I can hardly wait!

I also ordered some oil control primer and silk powder, but I haven't done a full face yet. I will check back when I do. I also ordered more Love Lure.....as I really like the glow.

I just got a cool new little green camera and I am finally learning how to take FOTD. Soon hopefully I'll be able to post some pics.

We just got water and electric back after a transformer and reservoir got blown up Sunday - aaarggghh. Much new stuff came in the meanwhile. Wasn't able to do any mixing, but at least with minerals you can do your make up outside on the balcony with a hand mirror :)

I like all the perfumes, actually. Fresh is a little strong, but they all seem to dissipate pretty quickly so not a big problem, and they're all lovely scents. La Femme is definitely the lightest, a just barely there floral (more blossomy than flowery), Tease is stunning and does have that mix of green tea, melon, and mild citrus (it's gorgeous), Mystic smells almost like my shea, light vanilla, sandalwood, and musk body butter (though I'd like it a tad smokier - but it's still great and most folks would not find it overwhelming), and Fresh is definitely - fresh and bright. Fresh + Tease is a nice one to layer, try it if you have them!

For reference: I am a 16 white/1 ebony, with dark pink lips (Seedy is my MLBB colour). With the lippies, a lot of times cool will work on warm girls and vice-versa. Granted, if you're really warm you don't want Seedy and if you're really cool you don't want Peach Melba, but it's a combination of skin tone and lip colour, and most of SN's lippies are wearable by most everyone.

I was missing some of the lippies from the last release and just got those - Swept Away is my perfect pink near-nude - Grace was a tad warm for me, though it's wearable. If you're on the cool side, you may find that Swept Away works really well - much better than I expected. Kiss n Tell - DEFINITELY Barbie Pink. Which is fun and hey - every girl *needs* this shade, but I like Tickled Pink better for everyday - it's more like Pout squared.

Sparkle is great - just what it says it is, and some girls could even wear it as a nude :)

Amour - kind of a light pinky bronze on me, with a lot of shimmer - it's nice, and I'm sure I'll wear it, probably with fall colours, but not my favourite.

Beloved - looks like a rosé wine on my lips with a little gold sparkle in it, lovely colour, it really is Gold Blush amped. Gorgeous, gorgeous.

Supreme - if you love Mulberry Spice, you'll love this - same family, but with a bit more red than MS. Good for evening wear, I can't decide which one I like better!

The liners - yes yes yes! But you know me. I'd choose Mahogany and Envy for everyday for just about anyone, and I'm really liking the others, too. Go ahead, at least try a sample of the brighter ones :)

I'm going to try to do some foundation mixing tomorrow or Friday with the medium coverage and with the Peach - I'll let you know what I think.

 Alright I am a self confessed lippie addict...I can't help myself

I just got 2 orders Recently one with Beloved, which I love...It really is a more pigmented version of Gold Blush. I always liked Gold Blush, because it had the gold sheed, but I always wished for a little more color. This one has a permanent spot in the purse now.

In my latest order I recieved Amour and Peach Melba. I was really surprised by Amour because I didn't think it would work on me. I thought it would be too much tan, but it is a pretty shimmery almost metallic pink...Love it! and Peach Melba gives my lip the just ate a cherry popsicle look, or a good kissing session

LOL - they're great, aren't they? I may open a new thread. I realised I have 34 SN lippies (one more on the way, and two others that I gave away cos I'm not much of a lipstick girl, though I adore Rapture and like Bliss, too), 19 of which I'd rate 5 stars, 11 at 4 to 4-1/2 stars, and only 2 that are actually unwearable for me.

So i've gone from one MAC lipglass (and I don't want to think of how much money spent trying to find colours that worked) that was too sticky most of the time to 32 really good colours in the past year - I love it!

I used to use the MAC lipglass too, but I found them to be sticky too and was mad at all the money I spent on them. I still have them because I can't bring myself to toss them after all the money I spent on them. I have really found that Karen's colors work for most skin tones and the texture is great. I have probably about 15 of them so far and only 2 I can't wear Rhonda and Toffee...not bad considering I have a drawer full of glosses and lipstick that didn't work either because of color or texture.

Throw away the MACs, give them to a friend, or donate them to a women's shelter. Trust me, you'll feel better without the reminder there.

I'd hate it if the wind was blowing and God forbid a strand of hair blew across my face - it'd stay GLUED there if I had on the MAC lipglass. I don't want to know what that ingredient was!

That is sooo funny...I thought I was the only one to experience that. I remember one night my husband came home with a convertible to surprise me, it was date night. I tried to hurry and wipe off all the lipglass, but it did not work...all night long with pieces of my hair stuck to my mouth...It was terrible :x

Nope you're not the only one at all. I tried to clone a few of them, but they're so sticky that I just couldn't bring myself to do it.
