I have to start out by apologizing for Saturday. I could have handled that a lot more gracefully than I did.

Pretty much every time we release a collection there are some people who are delighted, and some who are disappointed- and usually I get MAYBE 12 hours before someone adds a a thread to the Wish List section.

If that *didn't* happen I'd probably cry. Having people liking the products that you make and asking for more is living the dream. Having a lot of really smart interesting women feed you more good ideas than you can pull off in three lifetimes is a blessing.

Doing different versions of some favorite colors is a good idea on paper, but it's not a direction I really want to go in for a few reasons.

1) It doesn't really work. The same color in a different base looks different, and if it's your HG color it's never quite up to par. Coy needs a lot of shine otherwise it looks chalky. Bombshell in a liquid gloss would be nearly impossible to pull off from a technical standpoint, and really tough to wear because the liquid formula doesn't stay on your lips as long.

2) I don't feel like any of us are out of good (or at least interesting) ideas. Every time I think we've topped ourselves someone suggests something cooler than I could have imagined. I'd rather move in that direction rather than doing more of the same, and I think you'd rather see us do that too.

The lippie line has been too big for YEARS, but it hasn't stopped me yet. We might have to do something about it later down the line, but we're not there yet.

Bored, Unchallenged Karen = Unhappy Karen. Otherwise, I'm a big girl with a cool job, and I love the collaboration that goes on in this forum. Saturday morning I couldn't bear the thought of making myself a piece of toast for breakfast let alone another lippie. I'm sorry if I confused or offended anyone.

If you catch me whining like that again PM Jen and make her delete it, or tell me to put on my big girl undies!

Have a Happy Thanksgiving!

I didn't read any whining :? Honey, if you're up for making ever more colourful loveliness, we're right behind you. Bring it on. 8-) I'd hate to think of you guys getting overloaded or the endless wishes suggesting even the merest whiff of dissatisfaction amongst the ranks - blimey, we're blessed beyond belief to have this brand with you at the helm. Not to mention the inimitable team, too. As long as all the input is coming across as sparkly-eyed enthusiasm and a healthy appreciation and in no way a grumble at 'gaps' in the inventory, that's the main concern I'm hearing here.

I totally did not mean to imply making room for lippies so we can have same colors in various formulas. I was just thinking more lippies in general because I love hoarding them :) And then I thought the collection is so huge already, so I figured I'd post that if you needed to discontinue any to make room for new ones I would be totally cool with that. And I also wanted to see if others felt the same way.
Sounds like if you ever need to weed out the SN lippies in the future to keep the collection more manageable, most people would not mind that. And we all love your lippies Karen, and look forward to more of your creations :)

And I was delighted with the Holiday collection, I just got my order today and it was my first time trying the lip stains and liquid glosses, and they are really awesome. I have a feeling I will be getting addicted to the lip stains :)

I didn't think you were whining at all. It is impossible to please everyone 100% of time. Truly, you do a masterful job of making most of our wishes come true. I for one just enjoy new things be it new colors or new formulas. As cupcake said half the fun is collecting it and just wearing it makes me smile. This is a truly fantastic company. Where else can customers have direct input like this and recieve customer service that is second to none.

I didn't hear any whining, either. We know how much time and effort you put in to all this, trying to please everyone, and we truly appreciate it. I love that you even take the time to explain why some things just would not work from a technical standpoint! How fantastic is that?!

You, dear lady, have earned yourself a well-deserved holiday break! Have a fantastic Thanksgiving! :D

I didn't hear any whining either here. :) You're the best makeup master craft a woman can ever ask, and the best seller a buyer can ever ask. So you've got nothing to worry about and we're all right behind you for a happy Karen. By far, I have never felt disappointed one bit.

And thanks for going the length to explaining the technical difficulties. We're not the wizard here, and we trust your judgment.

P.S.: I love it when I can poison people with SN stuff. I got my sisters (and some friends) addicted, then they got their friends addicted, and their friends got their sisters addicted, as well. Since SN is not shipping to Indonesia anymore, I've got a massive loaded shopping cart to send back home from Netherlands once I get them. That massive cart includes numerous serums and triple Bloom kisser slickers, I suspect they eat it instead of swipe it on their lips. LOL.
