Can pale skin tone wear Carnal blush

Hi all

I need some expert advice I'm pale skin tone and I like the look of carnal. My current receipt at the mo (I'm forever changing it) is 17/19 ivory to 1 ebony and I tried a sample ages ago, but I just couldn't make it work.

I would love to hear from any pale skin tone women who use it and what are their tricks to wear it.


What I'd really love is if a certain make up marvel wouldn't mind making a lighter version of carnal. A nice light pretty shimmery plum blush *cough* Karen *cough*

Hmm, I'm not as pale as you, my ratio is about 12 or 13 to 1, and I like Carnal. You only need a tiny bit of dusting. I think Karen wears it too, she may be able to give you a better tip. I love the chilly face effect it gives me, so it's more like a winter treat for me. You could also maybe mix it with some lotion and try applying it like that? That way you can control more how much goes on.

It may be that the tone is wrong for your coloration. As Egerandi said it may be just using a lighter touch. I don’t have Carnal but I find that with blush and lipstick apart from using a lighter hand for darker colors if the tone is wrong it will never work, without mixing with another color to make it work. My last mix was 1 ebony and 1 warm gold to 54 ivory (1:27)

Hi,
I'm pale too but I just switched over from ebony to olive and I like it a lot more. Have you tried the olive base? I use it with about 14 white. Maybe that base tone would look better with the plum? I really like that color too, I want to get a sample. Is it sparkly? Let me know if you try it with that base. Right now I like stardust the most. I can't wear anything too pink or I look like a clown!

Carnal is a shimmery purpley plum color, and it is a different color than traditional blushes. It does work on most skintones as well as pale skin. You just need to use the right brush and a very light hand. Also, you might want to touch the brush to your hand before it goes on your face. I find that helps with the 'clown effect' even when using a dual fiber brush.

I use it mostly in the winter months. Since I am a lover of blushes, I try them all!

I was as shocked as anyone when I wore it..but now it's my standard night-time going out blush. I do use the fiber optic with it because it's easy to go overboard, but it's fab for dressier stuff when I don't feel like doing complicated eye makeup- I do that and a good lippie, and I'm good to go. For day I'm mostly using either Stardust or Babydoll- or sometimes Maybe Baby if I'm going edgier with my eyes- oh and Flirt makes a regular appearance too.

Carnal is the blush when I want to look posh or more classy. Add a little Drama, and I was shocked because it was so "poster" like!
