Stippling brush rave

Post by Rhys » Thu May 08, 2008 9:20 pm

I love the new fibreoptic brush! I reckoned I would, so I ordered two of them - they got here yesterday. Had to give them a wash, so I couldn't use them until today.

I''ve got samples of all the new blush colours, and Carnal is one of the scariest in the jar if you're pale - it looks like a really deep purple. Hadn't tried that one yet, but with stippling brush in hand, I decided to. I put a little bit of Carnal into my swirly bowl, stuck the brush in it, and dotted it on my cheeks - and it looks gorgeous. No blending required - this is the best blush brush I have ever used, and the colour looked really nice - not at all overdone (and if something was going to give me clown cheeks, this and Tart would be it). Just a beautiful plum wash right where it should be. Nothing cakey or heavy anywhere, it applied so smoothly I was amazed.

Fearing a trick of the light, I took a hand mirror out onto the balcony to see the ugly truth in full daylight. And the blush still looked great.

If you haven't got this brush yet - you must! It's cheap and it's wonderful. The only drawback I can see to it is that you'll end up buying heaps of blushes you couldn't wear before, because now you can!

I love this brush! I only ordered one and use it everyday, but i noticed that some little fairy carried it away this morning, perhaps one or both of my daughters needs one for herself.....
Anyway, this brush is great and keep me from being too heavy handed.

I really recommend this fibre optic brush highly. It allows you to apply almost any blush flawlessly. I own two fibre optic blush brushes from a brush supplier and yes they are nice. But Karen's is just as nice and it is so easy to order a bunch of things from Karen in one order for reasonable shipping (to Canada).

Also Karen's is only $5.99 and I *think* that is her everyday price. I bought my other two on clearance.

Is it really necessary to wash brushes after buying them? I've never done that with any of mine that I can remember.
And... Rhys, which eyeshadow(s) and lippie would you recommend for Carnal? I just ordered a sample and am looking forward to it so much that I'm planning an entire look around it. :D
