SN's Flat Top Brush

Hi - I'm seriously thinking of buying this, but it's a *big* investment for my budget. I'm currently using the FTB that I bought ages ago from Everyday Minerals, but even though I clean it regularly, it seems to 'eat' my SN foundation in that it vanishes up into the bristles a lot more than it did when I used it with EDM. I'm guessing that SN's FTB has a different kind of bristle more suited to the composition of SN's foundation? Can someone please confirm this and if you have both brushes, let me know how they compare. Thanks a lot.

Is your EM brush natural hair or synthetic?

I had both their synthetic and natural hair flat tops. The flat top Karen sells has synthetic bristles that are a little shorter than the synthetic from EM. The one Karen sells ia also a little denser, and as a result less floppy. I won't even compare the natural hair one....it was kind of harsh on my skin compared to synthetic. I usually use the flat top kabuki Karen sells. I like it bacause it takes up less space. It is a little less money than the long handle, but the same brush head.

I think it's the synthetic one, bought late last summer / autumn. It's okay but if the SN is more efficient in the amount it picks up and deposits onto the skin, that'd be great. The EDM one seems to impact itself full of powder, so I wondered if it was prone to static or something which causes too much powder to be drawn into the bristles and retained?

I have both, and I hope some others who do will chime in to add their honest take.

I don't intend for this to sound like I am only promoting Karen's brushes, but I honestly have not used my EDM synthetic flat tops (I have two they replaced my defective natural hair ones with) since I got my hands on the ones Karen sells. I still use kabukis from a few different companies, as well as eye and blush brushes from a few different companies. However, I only use Karen's flat top whether in the long handle or kabuki version.

I need to add that the flat top kabuki has a slightly wider brush head, maybe like 25% bigger. Not really enough to notice.
