I would love to try that. My skin really responds well to a light daily exfo, or a bi-weekly exfo. I've tried a couple microdermabrasion brands but their harsh chemicals in the carrier fluid / cream usually makes me irritable (in more ways than one!). Having it in a natural base like avocado sounds fabulous. My most trusted brand for skincare (Liz Earle) uses avocado oils within her SkinRepair moisturiser, so I already know it'd be a wonderfully nourishing ingredient.JenW wrote: I am also liking the microdermabrasion cream. My skin is to sensitive in the winter for the microdermabrasion cream I have used for years, but this one was very moisturizing and still does a good job. It is definitely worth a sample.

i did review the microdermabrasion creme while it was up but since it's gone I'd just like to throw in my thumbs up for adding it to the line. I've sampled several micro creams (lure, sarafina, a couple others) and they were usually too harsh. This one wasn't and the avocado butter was really moisturizing. i do use mine in the shower only (it's kind of my rule with microdermabrasion cremes, they're easier to rinse off that way without having to over buff with a cloth) but really liked it!

I do mine in the shower, too. I usually use my face cleanser afterward and that is just how I have always done it.Xarata wrote:it's kind of my rule with microdermabrasion cremes, they're easier to rinse off that way without having to over buff with a cloth) but really liked it!

I do everything in the shower too. I love the Creamsicle Sugar scrub. It's the perfect scrub for me. It's nice and grainy and smells so so good. And it's really moisturising too. I'd def buy more if it was available. It's delicious! (Ok yeah, i ate some...
)
I'm still undecided on the ACTive powder and the microdermabrasion cream, i haven't used them enough to make up my mind yet. But they are fine on my skin- no reaction or anything. I just need to use them a bit more before i make a decision.

Re: Gumballs! We're trying something new!
I feel like I need some input re: using the vit C ACTive powder. I've been using it for probably almost 2 weeks and haven't really noticed a difference. I mix it either with plain emu oil, jojoba oil, or GOW's base cream and try to add about the same amount as the small scoop that comes with the foundation kits. I have never felt any tingling or stinging. I do apply it after I spray with a hydrosol and use a small amount of GOW blue mallow HA serum.
Then yesterday, I noticed that my palm (where I mix the powder in with the oil/cream) is really getting discolored--a dark orangish. I know it's the ACTive powder, so if I was going to keep using it I would have to find another place to mix it in. It seems like too much trouble if I'm not really seeing a difference. Any tips or advice for me?
I really like the microdermabrasion cream.
I like the creamsicle sugar scrub too--like I mentioned it smells yummy and leaves my hands really soft! The only thing I wish was different is that the sugar seems very rough, even on my hands, so I would be a little wary to use it everywhere else in the shower on more sensitive skin. I wonder if the sugar particles can be smaller. Also, with one of my first SN orders (last year sometime) Karen sent me a sample of a vanilla shea butter body scrub--I loved that one too--it smelled heavenly. It was alot more "runny" than the current scrub (more oil and less 'scrub')--I wonder if the formulas can be combined to make something in the middle...

The ACTive Powder needs a water based liquid something or other to be effective. It can be water, hydrosol, HA Serum, or a cream. It needs to be somewhat dissolved in that liquid part to be effective. When I put mine on, I put a bit of HA serum in my hand and top with a small scoop of ACTive Powder. Then I put in a few drops of Emu oil and rub it all around in my hands to mix it, and then I put it on my face. The way I apply it, it is initially kind of dissolved in the HA serum. I don't usually feel a stinging, but I do feel a tightening as the mixture sinks in. You could even do a scoop of powder with water or hydrosol added to dissolve initially, and then add your oil. It works a little better in a cream than just oil, because a cream is an emulsion of oil and water. There really is nothing in an oil to activate it. There is an order of application in general: water based things first, then oil. Oil will kind of seal moisture in.
I will try it in a cream tonight and see if I get the same effect.
I have been using it since last fall pretty regularly. I do see smoother skin, as well as the lightening of some of my sun damage.

Re: Gumballs! We're trying something new!
thanks jen! i don't know how i missed the part about needing a water-based product for activation. i will try mixing it just with my HA serum, and apply my oil-based products afterwards. i do have some hyperpigmentation that i would like to see improve with the powder. let me know what you think about using it with the cream. it did definitely seem to mix better with cream rather than straight oil.
Re: Gumballs! We're trying something new!
I have the creamsicle scrub and microdermabrasion cream and love them both. I'm sorry I didn't buy more. If they are added as regular items, you can count on me to buy them again. Good facial scrubs are really hard to find - they either don't do the job, are too harsh, or I don't like the added fragrance. Please consider adding these products permanently!

I just wanted to throw my two cents in on the Microdermabrasion cream. I love, love, love this stuff. It is so nice and gentle and leaves my face wonderfully soft and smooth. I would love a full size of this...I was going to purchase more samples, but I see they were taken down
