Hah, I think I have that very same red glorified tackle box

I got it for my birthday 2 years ago... stuff used to actually fit in it, with some room left.

Ok, ok, I know somewhere in the thread about pressing eyeshadows, I said I'd never try pressing. But I went home a spoke to my hubby about it and he gave me this look and said, "You mean, you can free up shelf space? Do it. I'll help."

With that kind of encouragement, how can a girl say no?

Plus, all this talk about organizing...

So I'm undecided.. I have a lot of shadows, so should I go with a 15-pan palette? or a 28-pan?

I was thinking a few 15-pans for different color-groups (pinks, blues, etc)...

or a 28-pan so I can open and see at once what I have...?

Hehe, I just finished reorganizing my goodies, and happily reported to the BF that the days of the bathroom battlefield are over

I would really recommend the 15 pans, as they are the perfect size for longer trips, and you can organize by color, which is what I did. I'm buying more, as I'm overflowing, and gotta specialize even more, like separating the blues and purples into their own.
Other option would be to buy the big ones so you have a better overview and just buy a few 15 pans for travel, but the above option works really well for me. I usually reorganize only take the colors I'm pretty sure I need, and store the odd ones in a separate one. Hmm, now that I think of it, that 28pan would work perfectly for that. They are also small enough to sit them on my counter and open them all up to see aaaaaall at the same time.

If you wanna take it a step further, keep a list of your fav combinations, and note which palette they are to be found. That way you can easily find the colors you need without having to store them all in one big one. This one is my next project

I'm feeling slightly under-equipped and under-stocked... (BRILLIANT!!! that's deferred the guilts for at least another three orders woohoo!)

Haha, that's exactly what I was doing before I pressed the shadows. I'm a chronic lagger, so the more organized I am, the better. And with all the orders I've been putting in, well, let's just say you're gonna need more and more shoebox lids

*LOL* So its the 15 AND the 28?

I think its a great idea to get both. That way I have the flexibility to change things up if I have to. And to think, I started out thinking this DIY make up easel was going to be enough... such a dreamer!

Hahahaha, yeah, nope. I got a pretty makeup case for my bday 2 years ago, and I barely had stuff in. Now, I just use it for my lippes and some odds and ends, everything else is in other containers (palettes, brush holders, whatnot). Oh, how we evolve
