I am working on a little project. I have seen the need for me to update my swatches to add in comparisons of the newer colors. I use these swatch pics when recommending colors. I figured if I was doing them, I might as well give you access to them as well. I will continue to update this thread with pics over the next few weeks. I am also open for ideas.

Edit To Add: Feel free to add your own swatch pics here. Just be aware that I periodically edit out the conversation. This thread is getting very large!

Here is my next installment. I am trying to organize the pics like we have them on the website. I will probably add in links very soon. On one, I did get the lighting a little brighter than the rest. As with all lippies, they definitely look different on lips especially in comparison to my pale arm. For this reason, please use the pics as more of a way to guage the differences in color, rather than how they will look on you.

Swatches including the latest lippie releases, and Vinyard. I absolutely love Fig Leaf and Nectar. Nectar is peachier than Birthday Suit, and Fig Leaf is plummier. The Wand Gloss swatches are in sunlight this time, and they show the colors and pigmentation a little better. Vintage is beautiful! Also, Vinyard will be a new favorite!

I have one blush pic that needs redoing (cool mattes: I got them!!!!!). I did sort loosely by warm/cool, but pease don't let that deter you from trying blushes that you think are not in your temperature range. I can wear pretty much all of them. If they are light on my skin, they are best suited for our fair friends. If they show up very dark, they are generally the most pigmented.

Valentine 2009 Lippies plus all current Black Label Colors


I am still working on Centerfold and Reddy. I am realizing that I am at my palest for the year because the colors look so dark. Nude Beach and Peace are really about the depth of my natural lip color. Also, I am having a very hard time getting a good pic of Centerfold. It comes out pink on my arm even though it is light nude wash on my lips. I guess that means my lips are pinker than my arm (thank goodness!) and Centerfold falls somewhere in between.

I finally got swatches of the Holiday Lippies and the last two Valentine Kisser Slickers. I added Hot Blooded and Divine for reference on Reddy and Centerfold. I have to say my pick of the bunch is Centerfold. I like them all, but if you told me I could have just one, that would be it.
