EM olive medium skin- lipgloss suggestions

Decadent and Regal are discontinued. They just weren't selling as well at this point. It is always possible they will make a reappearance, though. They were great colors.

A close one to Regal is Supreme Demi Gloss.

Yes, Bliss is just a bit browner and deeper than Birthday Suit.

I am verry tempted by supreme but it has carmine, I think, and I'm trying not to buy lipsticks with carmine..

Is fig leaf lighter/less deep than sugar plum?..How do these two compare with vintage?

I would call Vintage slightly Warm. Fig leaf is like Birthday Suit with a touch of plum. Sugar Plum is on the cooler side and much like Infatuation. My pick out of the the two (Sugar Plum and Infatuation) is Sugar Plum because Infatuation is very cool IMO.

We can double check on the possibility carmine being in Supreme. Based on the color of Supreme (carmine is generally in pinks, not reds, especially not brownish reds), I really doubt there is carmine in it (I could be wrong). It might have dye in it, though. In all honesty, we don't use carmine as a straight ingredient. The carmine in our products is generally a component of a few of the micas that go into the products.

Morello could possibly have it. It might possibly contain one of those that is coated with a small amount of carmine. I will double check, though. Supreme is more of a matte color, colored only with pigments (iron oxides and possibly dyes) and no mica. Plus, it is not pink. That is why I am nearly certain there is no carmine in Supreme.

I hope I can get this to you soon. I know Karen is plotting the next release. I need her to find time to check her formulas to know the ingredients. Once I get a few things cleared up, I will update the ingredients listings as well as the Ingredients page.

Off the top of my head- the only colors that have it are Frolic, Iced Mocha, Ice Princess, Pout, Gold Blush, and Infatuation, and Sweetheart (of the current line)- it's never in anything matte- and generally only in the cooler toned reds/pinks (it does a gorgeous hot pink, but most of the time I try to stick with iron oxides). I don't use it really often at all. All of the ones that you mentioned don't have any carmine in them.

Supreme and Hot Blooded are very different- Supreme is darker with no shimmer, and Hot Blooded is shimmery, and less dramatic. Of the two- if it were me I'd go with Hot Blooded (but I love red lippies)- it's still one of my favorites, and IMHO one of the best colors I've ever made. Supreme is sort of a deeper, more pigmented version of Jaybird- lovely, but it sounds like you're gathering a pretty good collection of nudes/mattes- a little shimmery red could be a nice once in a while addition if you're into reds.

I have never really worn a red lippie before- I am not sure if it would suit me..but I wouldn't know unless I try..lol..dark brownish plums seem to suit me best (I have full, pigmented lips)..

I have :vintage, birthday suit and they look really nice layered

I'm probably going to go with: hot blooded (it *does* sound lovely), jaybird and maybe sugar plum..
Anything I should add or substitute? I'm still on the fence but tempted by bliss, supreme, fig leaf and rhapsody..
sooo many lippies to chose from..too many temptations..

Hi Maybeme,

I'm medium toned too. I bought almost all the colors you mentioned and I enjoy them all.

I love Morello -- it was the first color I put on when my SN pack came in. On me it takes a beautiful deep, burgundy-brown-red tone. And it seems to brighten up my complexion.

I love Sugar Plum -- I never thought I could wear "purple" hues, but this one is just perfect. i love it paired with Plush eye shadow. Its dark but not so dark that I can't wear it in the day. Again, its another one that brightens up my complexion.

I love Breathless -- its one of my MLBB colours that I pair with a very natural earth-tones nude eyes.

I love Berry Crush -- paired with my modern smokey eye BE clone kit.

I love Birthday Suit -- it's another MLBB shade that I pair with pink-tones nude eyes.

I like Rare Berry -- haha, this one but on my lips it comes out a little more pink than I'm used to. Friends say it looks very nice, but I think part of make up is also how I feel when I look at myself, so its more an attitude toward the pink tones in Rare Berry than the shade actually looking bad on me.

But of all of them, my uber, ultra favorite is Aria & Rhapsody -- both black label lippies. The texture on them and the taste/smell is pleasing. And I wear them at home, with no make up. Its my lip balm. MLBB lip balm.

I love them all.

Hmm.. I think when my next SN haul comes in, I'll do a swatch on my lips of all the lippies...

Thank you for your reply. I saw the pic of you wearing Morello- it looks lovely on you!! I would LOVE to see a swatch of all your lippies..
Now you are tempting me to get Rhapsody too- I thought it might be too light for my lips but am sooo tempted by the formula..
