Any hints to use the SN eyeshadow primer?
I've been trying and I cannot make this work. It creases on me no matter what I do. I applied a lot. I've applied a little. I've applied eye shadow immediately. I've applied and then did some ironing to wait. The results are the same. I am considering returning.

It's not just you - I have also had problems with the primer which sound exactly the same as you are experiencing; having said that, I just cannot seem to get creamy e/s primers to work for me at all, not just this one.
Pinkpomelo did a great review on here about the primer, and although i thought I was only using a smidge, the amount she uses is even less than what I classed as a teeny amount - haven't given this a try yet so can't report omn how successful it is, but may be worth you hving a crack. Loads of people have raved about it on this forum so I have to resign myself to the fact that I am either just an eye shadow primer dunce full stop or have wierd eyelids!!!!!

I’ve had the same problems with mine. Next time I am going to try as little as possible.

I don't think anybody's inept or wrong! I am *dry* so never had problems w/creasing, no matter what, so I really had no excuse for buying the primer,LOLOL, other than I wanted it. I *do* think that results depend on variables like: what's under it? (In my own case, sunscreen & foundation), what's the basic skin like to start with? (in my case dry-dry), & what type of moisturizer or eye cream is used...as well as how much/little primer gets used. If I can barely *see* the amount on my finger, that's the right amount *for me*. After i press on the primer gently, I use my finisher (usually Blur) over my foundation & right over the primer as well. I personally can use the primer for concealer as well, again the BAREST amount just stippled with my fingertip along jawline where my sundamage issues are the worst. Though the primer is WAY lighter than my skin, lol, my sundamage is an angry dark red-brown, so the BAREST touch of primer counterracts it quite well. Not sure I helped any, but I can tell you you're not doing anything wrong; it was only through playing/experimenting that I figured out what works for me.

I personally need just a very small amount. Almost less than you think you will need. I needed about twice the product with other popular primers for sure.

Re: Any hints to use the SN eyeshadow primer?
(Glad u liked the review, Kitten)
Enough for me is:
1 light tap with my ring finger (the weakest finger) in the pot and then I dab dab dab (never rub) to blend onto my eye. 1 light tap per eye is enough for me.
I've tried it both with and without apply foundation first. I found that it's drier if I apply it AFTER foundation. If I apply it without foundation, I skip the foundation altogether. I apply the eyeshadow immediately, no waiting. I live in tropical Singapore (1 degree above the equator). Its hot and humid here, and the primer helps my eyeshadow stay put.
It works for me, but I think, as Mikie said, it would vary from person to person depending on your routine. My eye moisturiser is a non-greasy lotion type. I don't like creams, I find it too heavy.
I haven't tried Mikie's method of using it as a concealer yet, but I intend to. I just have gotten into a make up routine, I'm usually an automaton in the mornings and don't remember to try new things.

Re: Any hints to use the SN eyeshadow primer?
I've been using a brush to apply so maybe I will try my fingers next. I've tried with eye cream and without.
And I will try a tiny amount of product. Thanks for the advice everyone.
I appreciate it.

oh yes- fingers work much better than a brush, i promise

Re: Any hints to use the SN eyeshadow primer?
I don't use SN's primer... but I've found that using primer without foundation or moisturizer on the eye works much better for me. So my normal routine is to get my sunblock put on (avoiding the eye area) and while waiting for that to settle in, I do my eyes starting w my primer. So the primer is really going on clean skin.
btw, I'm using Monistat as my primer

Re: Any hints to use the SN eyeshadow primer?
Creasing is the least of my issues my eyeshadow just dissapears into a big oily mess
Even when i use what i consider to be a small amount...i will try just dabbing it with my little finger next time but i'm losing hope. My lids are pretty oily as is and the consistency of the primer seems quite oily too. Shame..i wanted to use something natural
Looks like it'll be back to udpp for me though.
