Whaddaya mean *in training*? LOL! Fluffing daily for umpteen years qualifies as THE best teacher, right? I wore Slick & Rebel yesterday myself...& wear it often, actually. I dryline top & outer 3rd of bottom w/Rebel & then wet-smoosh Rebel into lashline right over it. Slick gets used not only as lid color (just heavier in < >) but also to line inner part of undereye. The kit does ROCK!

I got the Smokey Eye Kit and I loved the way they looked in their pots. However, I am Chinese with small eyes. Plus, I'm not that skilled with applying make up. So I have only been using a combination of Slick + Rebel or Slick + Blackheart.



Yes, I know that I have small eyes. Half my irises disappear under my small lids, so I end up looking sleepy all the time. When I smile, my eyes disappear completely.

Even with SN's eyeshadow primer, I had to be very careful using these colors. I had to do 2 trial runs before I was confident enough to use them at my Young Adult Christmas Dinner. Both trials had my hubby commenting that I looked like someone punched me... hard.

Rebel is definitely a color that requires patience. Rush it and you'll end up with black powder all over your undereye area and cheeks. But once I got the hang of it, I love it.

I'm in the process of looking for a good smokey eye tutorial on small Asian eyes. For makeup tutorials on (small) Asian eyes, I like the videos at http://video.fashionguide.com.tw. I haven't watched all of the makeup artists yet, but so far I like the makeup artist in these videos:

Although it's definitely helpful if you understand Mandarin Chinese, I think the visuals are clear enough that language comprehension isn't necessary.

Definitely understand.. its trying to read the Chinese script in the video's titles and description that I fail miserably. I had to get my friend to read it for me -- haha.
