eye shadow base as lip base?

I'm wondering if I could use the new eye shadow base as lip base. My lips are very pigmented and considering other lip color bases, made specifically to tone it down and give a better nude base without drying out my lips, like Mac's lip eraser or Origins underwear for lips. Still have some UDPP left, so I wasn't gonna get a fullsize of that new base just yet, but if it works for lips too, count me in! So many gorgeous lippies I have to pass on because of my dark rose lips, bleh... They get especially dark (like sickly dark if it makes sense) during the winter. BTW, the lip scrub is awesome

I just tried it- and no dice. It did block out my lip color, but it mixed with the lipstick, and really lightened it- not in a good way. I tried a bit of foundation under- not bad, but I don't think it's quite what you're looking for. The same supplier makes a lip primer- I'll try a sample in my next order.

Thanks for trying, and neat, I'll wait and see then I have enough eye shadows to play with, or at least I will have after my next gigantic order with the freebies, so I'll hold off on lippies for now. Maybe just get a couple
