Pinkpomelo.........I'm sorry, but ROFLMAO about your guy friend and the heroin assumption. Those little white powder packettes are something aren't they?
Reminds me of some VERY bad habits from back in the day........thank god MMU is so much cheaper and better for you!

Jen, thanks so much for the foundation recipe! You're so knowledgeable and it really takes the stress out of trying to figure it out by myself. You're right about the florescent lights :)

BTW, I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE Sleep in a Jar!!!!!!

It looked lightish pink in the pot so I had my doubts, but then I brushed it on and it canceled out the bluish-blackish tinge on my dark circles and it matched my skin tone! No funny whitish goggle-like circle around my eyes! No greenish tinge! Just poof! No more dark eye circles.

It applied so smoothly and easily! And it didn't crease into my lines as do other cream/powder type concealers. It just made everything look so even and neat! I love love love love it! I can't say it enough! And I'm so happy I don't have to do anything to darken/lighten/mix the Sleep in a Jar. It was just right for me, straight out of the pot!

But I think I'll put it on AFTER I put on foundation, because after I buffed my foundation on, some of the concealer rubbed off. I'll play around this Sunday and find the best application method for me.

I put on Superstar eye color today, and it matches my skin tone so well that it looks like I didn't do anything :D I think I'll need a brighter (?) darker (?) eye color?

Ladycattat, I didn't even think about drugs until he whipped out his phone and snapped a pic. He started sending the pic out to all our friends. Idiot.

I finally got round to mixing my foundation recipe.

I am so in love with the texture of the minerals! Its really silkier. Less powder puffing up! It gets "mooshed" into my brush so easily.

I tried Jen's recommendation of 1Ebony:1WarmGold:7HeavyIvory. It looked a little "whitish" on me, so I added 1 more scoop of Ebony. Then I reached the office and my friends commented I looked "dark". Maybe even a little "Tired". But the tone is correct. So, I think I'll go home and add 1 scoop of white (? someone correct me if I'm wrong) :)

Which would make my recipe = 2 Ebony: 1 Warm Gold : 8 Heavy Ivory

oh and tomorrow, i'm going to put MORE blush...

Hi there,

haven't been to the forum for a while so didn't see your questions til now. I'm a Sinagporean too...

I've been using the original formulation for foundation... works for me cos I don't really want heavy coverage. My reciepe is 11ivory/1warm or buttery gold/1ebony. For perfecting powder, I'm loving a 1DateBait:2Original Perfecting Powder mix... adds just the right touch of pink to my skin tone.

Personally, I love love love Climax. On me, its a peachy flush of color that looks really natural.... its sheer so you can layer it on to get the depth of color you want. Its actually the first mmu blush that I've bought a full size of and I've absolutely no regrets! My second go-to shade would probably be BabyDoll... which looks scary pink but again is sheer so the color doesn't turn up as scary pink but a nice flush of pink.

Thanks for the suggestions, Frond. You use 11 Ivory, so I think I am darker than you. So Climax will probably not show up on me :) I bought all of Jen's suggestions above and those colors are deeper and works great on me.

I think I may be a little more pink than you because once I put anything on, my face takes this shade of pink so I think DateBait (even after watering it down with original perfecting powder) might be too pink for me.

So far I'm loving Pristine Perfecting Glow.

I agree, although I am not Chinese, my skin tone and foundation mix is similar to yours.
Climax blush is too light on me, and Date Bait too pink for me. HTH!!!
