Karen's Mascara?

The jojoba worked like a charm. I put several drops on a cotton pad. It did take a little bit of wiping, but nothing too crazy. When I cleansed my face, there wasn't any mascara on my microfiber cloth. I do think if you did not get the oil wiped up well, though, it might lead to the racoon look. However, that would be expected from any remover. I would probably switch if I did not have a bottle and a half of my two phase makeup remover. I won't neeed to buy the remover again for sure.

So I got my package yesterday (yay!) and put on the mascara almost right away. I love how natural it made my lashes look with only one coat. I wore it for the whole day and no smudging and flaking and no raccoon look, lol. I'm a stay-at-home mom with two very active toddlers, so sometimes I even forgot I had it on but by the end of the day it was still as if I had just put it on. I removed it with makeup remover sheets from EDM and it was no problem. I didn't expect the tube of mascara to be so big! It's going to last me a while, lol. I should try jojoba oil as well, see how it works for me.

I use diluted baby shampoo on a cotton ball to remove eye makeup, and it removes mascara as well, I guess it's the oils in it I premix it in a small spray bottle, so it's a bit less messy than trying to handle oils directly. I'm using Burt's Bees Baby Bee, but the other normal baby washes would work too.

That's excellent news - and kind of you, Jen, to try this out for me. I'll definitely be buying asap.

I got a small order today - Unblush, Sleep in a Jar Yellow and some medium Ivory foundation: without gory details, I've had a bad few weeks with skin (a reaction caused a bad 'purge' breakout) and it's healing, but these SN products have been the first and only products to make my skin look healthy, normal and - this might sound daft - but wearing these feels like my skin is wrapped in a protective cocoon, not suffocating under inch-thick cover-up.

I was delighted before - now I'm over the moon and steadfastly converted! So now I can get mascara here too, that 'one-stop shop' really appeals to me and if you could see the before and after skin nightmare that SN is helping me cope with, you'd understand why I'm so grateful to find this brand.

Hi, ladies,
My home internet is down. I feel like I've been stuffed in a cave!! Regarding SN mascara, I have it in both black and brown. I use brown daily, black for "special occasions". Infrequently as those happen, the black tube will last me 10 years!!! I just started wearing soft contact lenses again and seriously debated not wearing eye makeup to avoid the oily smear that mascara often leaves on lenses. After fluffing with all the other fun stuff, my eyes looked absolutely naked. So I hoped for the best, applied Fire, Brimstone and brown mascara and off to work. I'm delighted to report that nary a smudge of mascara tainted my lenses. I figured the best way to do it was put lenses in first, then apply makeup. For de-fluffing, I wash the makeup off first with Olay cleansing wipes, then remove the lenses, clean them, and put them to bed. In the past I've also had problems with eyeshadow particles getting in my lenses. Again, not a problem. SN makeup stays where you put it. I can't remember if Karen mentions compatibility with contacts in her general information, but she should. Now I can look gorgeous and see at the same time! Lauren

Thanks for all the comments and reviews! I just tossed my drugstore mascara this morning because it's been clumping on me so badly lately -- I put the brush to my lashes and it's just a series of massive icky clumps. I'm looking forward to not having to deal with that again. Can't wait for Karen to put up her holiday stuff and place an order!

I wear contact lenses too, and this is the second day that I'm using Karen's mascara and loving it!
