That's Fabulous!!! But I have to politely argue with the words "scary" and "old", Mikie. You're absolutely glowing!

Happy Halloween a day late! Unfortunately, the retail muzak has now turned to Christmas already!! We had a whopping total of 4 trick-or-treaters last night. On the other hand, it was a relaxing, home-bound evening with hubby! Lauren ;)

Happy Belated Halloween to everyone. We didn't give out candy, but I took 2 large bags to work, as every year the nursing home opens its doors for safe trick or treating , this year we also had games in the dining room of West ( which is the largest unit) and a Haunted House that started out in the back hallway of that unit and ended making you walk through the graveyard (oops, the courtyard), so that you ended up in the dining room. Since it was still 60 degrees outside when I came home at 9 pm, it was beautiful night to do lots of fun outside things. There were lots of kids and parents, so everyone involved had fun.

I have a strange sense of humor, and this week the nursing office has been blessed with the presence of a skeleton, so of course it had to make an appearence last night. We took the skeleton, dressed it up in an antique nurse's cape ( the old blue wool ones) and put a nurse's cap on it and placed him at the enterance to the East building. It was the old hospital prior to being remodeled for the nursing home, after the new hospital was built, and I can guarntee you that lots of mennonite school of nursing students passed through those doors , until the nursing program moved to the local community college, but since the hospital was celebrateing it's 100th anniversery 2 days before Halloween , we just had to put the skeleton out and let them wonder if there was an old nurse haunting those halls.

How cool, Hollis! And Lauren, I think staying in with hubby is a *perfect* way to spend Halloween! I did it, too! We don't get trick-or-treaters here; we're semi-rural. The pic I took of myself, lol, was in our back yard 12 hrs after I'd fluffed that way. My boss thought I was a leper,LOL! I *told* him I was a scarecrow, ROFL!
