Summer Collections ideas
Summer Collections ideas
I know it is probably a bit early, but just wanted to write down some things I have been thinking would make a great addition to the summer collection.
So I am all about matte shadows now, part of the reason is I am able to press them now thanks to the Silk Naturals Great Impressions, so I started making myself a nice little matte palette. Some colors I would love to be able to add to my matte palette are some pastels, like a pastel cool mint green, a yellow-toned pale green, a lavender, a baby pink, and a baby peach shade.
And if they were not a true matte but like a suede type finish(suede is the closest finish to matte, right?) that would work for me as well.
Another thing I think would be really fun, and I am not sure of how feasible this is, but having "foiled" shadows, like the MUG ones. They are really metallic but not glittery and go on like they are foiled. Now I know they are pressed and SN makes loose shadows, but I think a similar type thing can be made in the form of a loose pigment, you might need to add a little bit of silicones or fractionated coconut oil to them to make it a more "wet" powder. But I think that would be pretty neat!

TaylorMadeMinerals used to have a bunch of loose "foiled" look shadows before they went out of business, but they didn't always stick to strictly the best ingredients so i'm not sure. I think they were mostly metallic pearl.
You know I'm crazy about anything orange/peach in color and I LOVE metallics. Would love a few essential roll on scents without the extra notes (like pink grapefruit or lavender). Being pregnant/itchy, I would love to see the scrubby towels return. Currently relying on sugar scrubs, but they don't ship well in summer.
DH says he'd love you to take a shot at shaving cream
He's prone to razor rash and uses flame out as an aftershave lotion. His current fav. shave cream is Cremo, but i'll bet something with a clay addition would be fabulous.

oh yes, the scrubby towel! love that thing! I rave about that all the time, it is so useful. I use it on my face, my body, to scrub the tub, so multipurpose! I found a sort of similar one at Forever21, but it seems worse quality than the SN one was, and perhaps too rough for the face.
oh, and I totally forgot to mention this in my original post, but I would love for the Mystery Adventure Club to come back, because what is more fun than getting surprise makeup in the mail!?

I second the matte and suede finish eye shadows! I really like the suede finish. Also the demi-matte finish. I'd love some pale baby pink (PMS 196), pale buff pink (PMS 489), baby pink (PMS 2010, cream with a tinge of pink (PMS 706), a darker version of miss you, smoky lavender (PMS 435, 436, 437), and some greys, like Pantone PMS 406, 407 & 409
I'd love matte or very little sparkle versions of Damsel and gum drop in an ALG.
Bring the scrubby back!! I need a new one. I detest the crappy ones I keep finding everywhere, they just are not the same.

I too need some new scurbby towels and a pear perfume oil and a body cream to match would be nice.

Re: Summer Collections ideas
i have seen the scrubby towels at my Asian grocery stores if SN doesn't bring them back, but it's a fun thing to add in to an order

Re: Summer Collections ideas
I second the pear perfume oil and body cream, or even body oil. I'd also love more ALGs, esp. ones with color shift like double down or betty. I liked the strawberry scent in the SS, and would love to see it as an option on some more colors (or see some popular SS shades as ALG). Several I want, but have held off on, because the oils in the SS formula bug my nose (super sensitive to certain smells and sadly the oils overpower the vanilla for me).
I'd love to have more color options for the pale shades for foundation, concealers, etc. I love the creams, but I am just too cool toned for any of them, the lightest ones all turn yellow on me. Something that has the lavender color booster added to them would be amazing.

I agree with the shadow suggestions. I love mattes, suedes, and metallics!
I still think a full-coverage frost lipstick formula would be great. Metallic and duochrome lipsticks can put a fun twist on your summer look.
I second the M.A.C. request.

I'd love to see MAC happen again. I also agree that metallic lip colors would be fun.
Re: Summer Collections ideas
Ooooh yes definitely more suede shadows! The matte shadows I've tried just seem to look like dirt on my eyes but the suedes really work for me. Anything with more sparkle is too much for my wrinkles to handle.
. Even though my skin tone is almost neutral, it seems to like the warner colors so anything warm would be welcomed.
More ALGs please?
Oh yeah, if you could make a body oil in fruit scents I would be forever grateful! The place I was getting my body products from just went out of business.
They had a Peach Smoothie scent that I could drown in. They also duped Victoria's Secret's Strawberries and Champagne. Yummy!
I missed the MAC so I'd love a second chance at it.
