the liquid lippies are now also living in the closet on the ledge of that weird trim you see between the boards (why anyone would put would trim 5' up a wall in a closet is beyond me but it's convenient for my lippies). I am so proud of myself btw. i finally put ALL my makeup and skincare away. I had a giant pile in the corner of my bathroom just taking up space and being a pile and I finally put it ALL away. I really do need to get a baseball card binder for all my sample baggies...
lcash when i transfer things to jars i shake all the powder to one part of the bag and either cut a corner off or (more often) cut the sides off the bag, open it slowly and use a brush to push it into a jar. I can use the brush to get pretty much ALL the powder off the sides of the bag too. I do this overtop of a white piece of paper so if i spill i can funnel the spilled powder back into the jar too. To transfer from one jar to another, I dump onto a piece of paper and funnel it.

Since I'm so prone to full sizes these days, I keep my smidgen-pinch-dash measuring "spoons" in my bathroom drawer. Depending on what I'm transferring to shaker jars, those are what I use. Any "overflow" left in the original jar gets either put in the drawer for topping off as necessary or more likely divvied up into small baggies for enabling purposes.
Baggie samples, I use out of baggies. When I *did* transfer them to jars, I used the paper underneath, shake to corner, snip off corner, tip & pour through method described earlier.
The 6gm small square shaker jars, I discovered with one of Meow's special collections (VandalEyes, I think) back before I tried SN. I fell in love with the cuteness of the square jars, ROFL, & I bought a ton of empty jars during a clearance sale on another site. Planned my mmu around those silly *adorable* jars, & I transferred everything in sight to them or the 12 gm shaker jars, & I bought additional 2-tier turntables to put 'em on. When I get on a kick, I get on a kick,LOL! I've since seen the 6gm square jars at suppliers but am not keen on buying 100s at a clip. Same w/12 gm shaker jars.

Re: I've got a dirty little secret...a dirty little secret...
Thanks, ladies. That's pretty much how I've been transferring from one container to another. Sometimes I use waxed paper underneath. It seems to "slide" better. My husband thinks it's hilarious - I hoard those little "almost empty" sample baggies until I've fished out the last little morsel just like a dog licks a plate clean. I found some of those square bottles on ebay (not too expensive by the 100's, but a bit pricey buying five or less), decided to stay with what I have. If I'm going to keep spending money on mmu, I'll put it toward the real thing!
They are pretty though, especially with all the gorgeous shadow shades.
You should be proud of yourself Xarata. You're very creative and I can see that things should be easy to find in the bleery hours of the AM. I always have wonderful ideas about organizing, then forget what my plan was so I still can't find anything without hunting. It looks a heck of a lot better, though, so I'll live with it for now.
