Can anyone compare Gleaming and Excite?
Can anyone compare Gleaming and Excite?
Is one more opaque or sheer than the other? Any other differences, besides the flavor of the ALG?

Re: Can anyone compare Gleaming and Excite?
Hi, just saw your post, hope not too late.
Excite is opaque, my lips look like they were dipped in gold, while gleaming was a gloss, adding just some goldiness to me and it was not too warm. Also G was great for layering while E can be topped. I owned Gleaming and when I finished the tube decided to try E because of the alg formula. I do not use it. Too opaque. I cannot swatch them side by side, sorry. Hope it helps.

Not too late-thanks so much, that's very helpful!! I was hoping for a gold a little more sheer than Gleaming. Sounds like Excite is not for me!

Excite is opaque, so good luck with your search!

Not completely gold gold, but I use Fanfare when I try to match gold jewelry I wear and I need a simple lip. Gold Blush is also nice, it has slight (warm) pinkish undertones that almost perfectly match my lips, so all you really see is the gold-ish shimmer.kchalbi wrote:Not too late-thanks so much, that's very helpful!! Just thought of Swank. Did you try it? Could it be what you need?

I think I have Fanfare somewhere, I'll have to dig that one out again! And I've been eyeing Gold Blush for a while too! I haven't tried Swank yet... the black kind of scares me. It looks a little grayish in the pictures I've seen. But I do like Black Dahlia, so maybe Swank is worth a shot. Thanks for the suggestions!

Going to try Swank myself, I was also scared of black, but since teal Glacier is my loved lippie, Unordinary colors might not be that frightful
