Any gloss requests?
Re: Any gloss requests?
I would just like a clear but shimmery gloss, with wand!!! I like to make my own glosses by mixing with a little blush powder each day... then my blush and lips always match

Hi, All:
This is my first post on the forum. I saw the topic and had to respond. I would absolutely love to see a dupe of Clinique's Black Honey Almost Lipstick. It's a blackened red that looks great on everyone I've seen it on. I've seen dupes that were fairly close, but it should be such an easy color to dupe that I'm surprised that I haven't found one that's dead-on.

That's quite a list! I'm working my way through it...found some of the colors ya'll requested, and am waiting for them to come in the mail. Today's mini-release is wine colored glosses! I'm so excited for you to see them!!! I thought about them the whole time I was away, and stayed late to make them. They're yummy
As far as Black Honey goes...Sweet Nothing is very very very close. It's not 100% dead-on, but it's so close that I think you'll be happy with it if you like Black Honey (Black Honey has dyes in it- which I don't have a problem with using, but I got it so close without them that I decided to skip the 1/8 teaspoon of dye)

Re: Any gloss requests?
Wow, I'm glad that I looked at this thread as I was going to suggest a Black Honey dupe also. I used the original Black Honey back in the 70s, which was a pot gloss. Clinque had 4 colors of pot gloss - red, brown, clear, and wine, and all the colors ended with "Honey". The wine one was Black Honey and was my favorite but I used all 4. The current version of Black Honey has been around along time but I believe it came after Clinque discontinued the pot glosses.
Re: Any gloss requests?
I remember the pot glosses!!! I coveted those so much growing up. They were *the thing* to have- you won me over with the nostalgia. So in a flash of nostalgia (and because my mother wouldn't buy me the pot gloss that I coveted so much)- I cloned it.

Re: Any gloss requests?
Does this mean that you'll be making pot glosses?
Speaking of nostalgia - does anyone remember Yardley makeup? Their lip "slickers" were all the rage in the 60s (I was a little kid then so I didn't wear them), but in the 70s, as a teenager, I always wore their gel mascara - gave me the Tarantula eyelashes that I craved back then.
And does anyone reading this remember Stagelight Cosmetics from the late 70s into the 80s? They sold loose powder eye shadows (looked like today's mineral shadows) - for the time, they were pricey - I think I paid about 8 bucks for each shadow but this was circa 1980 when you could buy a Maybelline quad for something like 3 bucks. I splurged and bought the little pallet thing where you could fit 5 or 6 shadows - I had one hi-lighter and the rest contour shades. Man, did I love that makeup! I really envy the young gals today - I wish that we had this great mineral makeup back when I was young...

I would love to see a re-make of MAC discontinued Lip Glass Chroma Camel.....it's the prettiest "nude" lip gloss. It's very "J.Lo" lol. MAC had that color back in early 2000 and I've never seen a color close to it =(
Re: Any gloss requests?
Hi all,
this is my first post so first of all I have to say that I absolutely love SN lippies! They're the best... I especially love the solid gloss formula but the liquid one is great as well. I have collected quite a few already and I adore them. Birthday Suit was the only one that didn't suit me, made me look like a corpse, but all others are great.
I only hope that Karen would come up with a few lighter colors, especially cool ones. All the new lighter colors are on the warm, max warmish neutral side, like Champagne, Pink Lady, Modern Poet and there aren't any really light solid glosses. I have collected almost all of the lighter solid colors such as Divine, Tickled Pink, Swept Away, Kiss'N Tell, Bon Bon, Breathless, Damsel, Darling, Gold Blush, Pout, Rhonda etc. but they all appear more or less dark on me. And the clearly cool ones such as Infatuation, Seedy, Sweetheart, Berry Nice and Razzle Dazzle are all pretty dark. Don't get me wrong, I do love all these colors and the darker ones as well, and wear them all the time, some lightened with Sparkle - but would love to get a few that were lighter to begin with.
So Karen, could you please make some lighter color cool lippies! I think zeebs was hoping for a lighter and sheerer Infatuation and I second that. But I would also like to get one semi opaque, very light, slightly muted but clearly on the cool side pink lippie, and perhaps one medium light cool lippie with silver shimmer. Am I greedy...
Does anybody else want lighter color cool lippies?
Thanks for all the great products, and keep up the good work!

Re: Any gloss requests?
Hi all I'd love a rust colored gloss in a wand. And I love the warmer lip prdoucts, they are right my alley.
Re: Any gloss requests?
Yes, I was asking about lighter/sheerer Infatuation. In general, I'd like to see more light/sheer lippies. I can wear both cool and warm colors on my lips but in general I like to wear light/sheer colors so I'd like to see more of them here.
