Need Foundation Help? Please post here.......
Re: Need Foundation Help? Please post here.......
Thanks! The picture is not that great as far as showing my skin color. I am not as dark as I look in the pic. Thanks for giving me a place to start. I am excited about trying my sample kit now that I know which one to start with.

Re: Need Foundation Help? Please post here.......
Hi,
I'd like some advice on foundation sample kits, perfecting powder, concealers and eye shadows, the whole shebang
SN has so much colors and I'm indecisive when faced with so many beautiful colors
The sun has been hard these days and I think I'm getting tan(ner). I'm currently using Clinique Superbalanced no. 23, and once get my shade matched into MUFE no. 155. I have Yellow Olive Golden undertones; though I usually go with Yellow Golden. My skin is normal to oily these days and, thanks to Super Serum, I have no problem whatsoever with my skin. Just a few skin discolorations (it's fading fast) and white heads/pimples on certain time of the month. So nothing much to cover really.
I'd like to post pics, but it's too big. So, is email okay?
Thank you!

I think you are going to be an Olive. It looks like your coloring is similar to mine. I run about 1 scoop color to 12-14 white depending on the formula. Really, I would start with the Original Formula as it is usually the easiest to get a match. If you decide you need more coverage at a later date, you could try one of the others. Another thing that helps with redness is Equalizer. I recommend a sample of that, too.lilmspsypnts wrote:Hi,
I've never used foundation before so I would love some help with this. I have some light scarring and redness I would like to cover up.
Thank you in advance!

Does the equalizer go on before or after the foundation? Also, is our colouring considered "warm"? I have a little trouble getting the right shades when it comes to blush and lipglosses.

I would call you neutral with a hint of warmth. However, with your coloring you can pull off just about any color you's like as long as they are not in the extremes of warm and cool.lilmspsypnts wrote: Thank you for the reply!

Equalizer can be used as a spot concealer, or an all over primer or finisher....it is kind of a multi-tasking product to reduce redness. How you use it will depend on what you think works for you.

Foundation Help? I tend to have pretty oily skin. And am acne prone. what starter kit should i pick and also, i need help with mixing foundation. the common problems i have is my foundation looking too orange, or looking too grey.
I took a few pictures outside, they all see to make my skin look different. I am almost 100% sure i'm warm toned

Alyssa-
Only slightly warm from what I can see. I can't quite tell if you ill fall in Warm Gold or Olive. For the slightly oily skin, I would still try the Original formula foundation. If you still have a problem with oil, try Oil Control Blur as a primer.
As a guess...Warm gold will be about 1 scoop color to about 7 or 8 white, Olive will be about 1 scoop color to about 11-13 white.
The too orange usually means it is not light enough....too gray is usually too light and often needs yellow.
