Thank you Jen, for taking time to swatch and photograph for me! I can see the differences you're talking about now. And I totally understand what you mean about photographing swatches--I always get frustrated too, trying to get the most true to life photo.

I really appreciate all the suggestions! I'll probably stick with Nekkid for now, and then hope that creamsicle will be back in it's new form! Although highbeam looks pretty tempting too... Heck, who knows, I may just end up getting them all (restraint when it comes to make up is not something I'm known for! :-D )

I love, love, love Highbeam! It's often my base! That or Hint, depending on my mood & what I'll be wearing. *Very* different effects!

Oh, mikie! Highbeam has officially been added to my cart. You are a very bad influence! ;)

Hi all,
I need some help with ES shades.

While I adore Cashmere and Nekkid, they both tend to make me look like I have been crying. I think it's the peachy pink tones. I know I can do cooler pinks and purples, so I guess I need to get a few more shades!

I am a fair-light skinned Korean (ergo brown hair/eyes) with not too yellow, warm-neutral tone, and somehow cooler toned blushes (Petal, Carnal, Tart) and ES just work better for me. Can you recommend a few shades?

I have following ES from SN
Love : Bare(LOVE LOVE LOVE!), Lurid, Idolize, Bittersweet, Basalt (on brows only, so I should run out in 2016)
Works ok, I think : Luxe
Looks divine but doesn't work for me (boohoo): Scallop Pink, Nekkid, Cashmere
Absolutely petrified of : Poly(waiting for my next party before I bring this one out!)

I like shimmery colours in neutral/brown family, purple, green, and pink (just not peachy). Suggestions? I just turned 30  so I'm treating myself to a few shadows, I think.

Breathe is a great cool lavender pink. I really want to take a close look at shadows in daylight based on the information you have given me, here. I can make suggestions cooler than those you mentioned much easier that way. I don't really trust any of my artificial light for this type of request. Please check back tomorrow!!! ;)

I whole heartedly second Breath and Hint, Hint is one of my favorite highlighter colors I just love how it morphs. Orchid is also a nice paler purple, good for lids or an all over wash.

If you want to try a light pink that has no peach I would go for Cherry Blossom. It is a true pink, like pale cotton candy.

I just got Eerie, Wave and Sage they are all great colors. Eerie is a dark purplish blue, Sage is a nice green and Wave is a lighter grayish blue.

I have been sorting for swatches, so I got them all out today. Yes, I have a few SN shadows. It is a hazard of the job. ;)

Everyday recommendations:
The Elegent Brown Quad. These will all go nicely with your Bittersweet. Vogue is darker, Posh is a light caramel brown. Chic is a shade lighter but more golden than Bittersweet. Cream is a great cream colored highlighter with a sprinking of copper.
From the Summer Lovin' kit......really anything but Sandy. It may be a bit to peach for you. I'd choose Hint in its place for you. Also, you don't really need Frenchie and Cream. Frenchie is a little pinker in hue than Cream. Also, you may want to choose between Danny and Rizzo. Rizzo leans a little plum and is a bit deeper in color than your Idolize, but it has a nice understated sheen that makes it very wearable for day. Danny is very similar to Rizzo, but it leans a little greener.
Wave is a lovely blue gray shade that will be not so scary as Poly! It is blue, but in the realm of the colors you currently wear.
Wink Wink and Nudge Nudge. These fall exactly between the gray taupe of Lurid/Idolize and the warm chocolate brown of Bittersweet. Wink Wink is the must have of the two, as it makes a perfect one color wash. WW and NN are not as warm in tone as the Elegant Brown Quad or Bittersweet.
Cherry Blossom is nice, too, but I am not sure you need it and Hint. I think Hint would be a better choice.

For fun:
Breathe and Gasp. Breathe is a lavender pink with a blue morph. Gasp is its mate and is a white highlighter that morphs lavender.
Teal Appeal is a cool toned light green.
Opal and Orchid. Orchid is a more intense lavender than Breathe, and it has a pink sparkle. Orchid is a white highlighter that morphs pink.
