Request for this forum

OK, I admit it, I am challenged re the avatar thingie...REALLY challenged,LOL! Have tried & tried but can never meet the fussy criteria. There's a button there that says Display Gallery...& it's empty...Any way we could get fun ones to choose from & be able to create & change our avatars at will? I know I wouldn't like the same ol',same ol' pic of *my* face, hehe, but if there were fun generic ones we could choose, it would be fun & maybe more gals would use the feature.

I think so,too, Maryah! Not much sense in a "Gallery" button if there's no gallery,LOL! Wonder if there are makeup-themed ones? hehe

Maryah, THANK you soooo much for your help. This *danged thing* is driving me to distraction. STILL won't work, sigh. I *know* it's me ~ uploaded it to photobucket, did the direct link, etc. THIS operator error. Giving up. Ain't fun anymore.

Says it's small enough but 8.44k? For such a friendly forum it's a mighty snarky avatar parameter,grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. I will just continue to add pics to my posts from time to time. That's MUCH easier, but thank you for your time, Maryah.

Is there a way to get links for different sizes in Photobucket? I know in Flickr, for an avatar, you use the thumbnail size link, and for pics in posts, I usually use the Medium size. I will look at Photobucket later to check this out. I should know how Photobucket works, too.

I don't have all of the controls for the forum, or I would definitely add some avatars in the gallery for you. I think we will eventually have a regular gallery for swatches and fotds soon. I really want a sticky function, too. I think the software must support it, but it is not on my moderator control panel.

Your welcome! Don’t you upload to the forum from your computer? I am pretty sure I just shrunk my photo of the puppy and her kitten to the correct size and uploaded it directly.

Ok, I just changed my avatar to Lil’ Bits. This is my suggestion. Save the smaller copy that I sent you to your Desktop(usually the easiest place to find a file) and choose the upload from computer option.
