I need a little help choosing some colors that might look good on me. I've got medium/dark reddish brown hair, hazel eyes that morph to green sometimes, and light skin. I have used ebony 1:10 in the past, but right now I am using warm gold 1:9. I find it helps neutralize a little bit of the pink in my skin.
I think am a true neutral when it comes to other colors. I can wear both warm and cool, but if they lean too much either way they don't look good on me. I generally wear more subdued colors, too. I look in my drawer of eyeshadows and it seems like variations of the same shades! I've got things like Mohave (love it!), Nekkid, whisper. I like Jump and Kickstart and have found that GWP's like Blitz look pretty good on me.
After all that, I guess I'm looking for some colors that will look great with my eyes. If anyone can offer suggestions, I'd be very grateful! Thanks!

Jill,
I have hazel eyes that morph to green as well... My skin tone is more of a neutral to olive and probably a bit darker than yours, but I'll give you a list of my favourite colours for my eyes:
Any gold and purple combo really brings the green out. I love Brimstone with Tailfeather and sonic is my go to highlighter.
Hairpin really brings out my eyes, Earth is a must and you should try Purr.
I'm at the office right now
But when I get home, I'll see if I can find a few more suggestions...
(Dangerous question!)

7 Ivory: 1.5 BG: 0.5 Olive... for now...

Off the top of my head, am thinking Plush, Bewitched, Clutch, Custom and for a twist, Poly. I'd be surprised if teals don't look amazing, maybe for a subtle twist on liner? Mahalo is great for a neutral-leaning-olive skin tone for a softened, sultry gold. Adventure might be nice for a crease, Flash for a highlighter (inner eye corner). Fusion, Glory and Idolize are absolute must-owns for anyone. Trouble is indispensible for a SFW crease colour. Range is gorgeous for a sheer and soft smokey lid look. I haven't tried Prowl yet but that might be right up your street, too. Juiced, Harris, Sweet Tea... and if any colour is just a little off, dabbing a light touch of the inimitable Fire over the top transforms it into the sublime. Hope that helps.
p.s. don't be afraid to surprise yourself. Colour and tone matching for a complimentary look is great, but sometimes the serendipity comes in taking a chance on some colour that you just can't take your eyes off of. Have fun!
