Yes. It does look as though they are counteracting the redness, too. Normally, I would call you cool toned with yellow, but if there was much pink in your foundation it would not look right.

This makes so much sense, and also explains why I've been confused looking for a colour-match. Thanks so much for your advice!

Hi there! I'm a newbie! New to mineral foundation and I've been searching for the best brand and colors that will suit me. I'm acne prone and t-zone oily! So far the brands I've tried are Pur Minerals and Sheer Miracle. Using Pur Minerals I was the Light color, however it had a tad too much pink for me and it oxidized by the end of my work day! Not to mention it didn't last, had to re-apply 3 times a day! When using the Sheer Miracle I can wear the Light Warm. It looks pretty good, sometimes I think just a tad too light. Again, it doesn't last on me and I need the coverage. I need a medium to heavy coverage due to acne, acne scarring and some previous ice-pic type scars and medium size pores. The acne is very well under control with only the occasional break out. But I do like coverage and need the oil control!!!! I would say I have fair to light skin with yellow under tones may even be considered olive under tones. I've got samples on the way, as well as the untinted blur and a sample of the heavy ivory so I can try the coverage out! Any advice on color selection would be greatly appreciated.

This is a real guess, but try Olive or Warm Gold. In Olive you are likely to be about 1 scoop color to about 10 white, in Warm Gold probably 1 scoop color to about 6 white.

Pictures usually help the most. (Right now I am just guessing based on what did not work before, and what those colors are likely to be.... so kind of an informed guess with lots of room for error... ) If you can't upload a picture here, you can send one throught the 'contact us' web page.
