new cream blushes on lips?

Post by JenK » Fri Oct 07, 2011 9:44 am

Just wondering how the new cream blushes feel on lips and how much color they give.

For me, they give a fair amount of color for their sheerness, but I really need something moisturizing with them. Coconut oil is a "dry" feeling oil, and it just doesn't do much for moisture. Someone who doesn't like grease on their lips would probably love them though.

Karen,
I have a problem w/ Castor oil so this w/ a hint of balm may work.
Thanks!

Jen, it works really great with some chap stick under and liquid gloss over. :)

I actually had a question the other way around: is there any reason not to use all of the lip glosses as blush? Are any of the formulas bad for your skin and/or incompatible with face makeup?

I have been doing this to easily match colors and when I'm out and about and don't have the blush handy to re-apply. Haven't died yet :D But, I'm sure I should be more careful, would like to know as well if there is any disadvantage of doing this?

I have tried a few lippies on my cheeks and all was fine. My pores clog easily and nothing happened.

The cream blush I tried looks gorgeous on the lips, but doesn't last very long on me. I love a matchy-matchy lip and cheek.

There's no real scientific reason you can't wear a lippie as a blush. I've done it a few times. They don't tend to blend as easily, and I think the castor could cause some clogged pores, but if you're not really worried about getting a zit then go for it!
