comparing nudes

Post by rymorg2 » Mon Jun 27, 2011 7:30 am

Can someone compare the nude colored lipsticks and glosses for me? my favorite looks are ultra nude pale lips. I already have x x x as well as a few others and love x x x that would like variety. so maybe something a little more pink would be a good this time. Tia!

XXX is the nudest, after that would be your foundation mixed with gloss, then mirage which is a touch pinker, and st. tropez is a pink nude (that is still going to mask your lips)

Depending on your lips, caramel and centerfold are nudes but are not going to lighten your lips at all.

Birthday Suit and Menage are YLBB nudes and from there you move on to colored "nudes" which are more like muted colors to me than actual nude lippies (and definitely not anywhere reminiscent of xxx)

Thanks for the reply Samantha! I already have XXX, St. Tropez, and birthday suit, which I wore today LOL. I just found Mirage on my own and it's in my cart. I'll check out the others too.

Samantha pretty much covered it beautifully. Just want to add that before St Tropez came along, Centerfold used to be my favorite not-so-nude nude: it gives you a lovely slight pinkish hue, barely there. Some ladies reported that it turns pink on them, but I didn't experience that to a very noticeable extent. It's MLBB (ok, second after St Tropex, but still in my favorite formula, the KS)
It's definitely not XXX though :)
Menage is very very close to St Tropez, but I think it's leaning towards mauve, at least on me. It's makes my lips looks like when I'm very cold :D I usually layer it under St Tropez itself.

I just ordered Mirage and Cultured. Centerfold is next on my list for sure! I love the look of a pale nude or pink lip. I also got a full sized microderm cream (ALMOST out of my sample and I couldn't stand the thought of not being able to get it until the end of the month with the closing) and Butterfly Blue eyeshadow. This is a fairly small order for me but I should be placing at least one other small one very very soon! :D Thanks for the help!
