Hi there,
Please could you help me with the chosing the correct colour base and also the right ratio's.
Having just come back from a holiday I am slightly darker than I normally am.
I have attached a photo of me with a tan and one without!
Please could you also suggest primer, finishing powder and glow for me too? I have a very oily t zone, cheeks can be oily too although sometimes a little dry. I am prone to breakouts depending on the products I am using... I have slightly pitted acne scarring on my right cheek and discolouring from new blemishes (red/purplely/brown)...
I look forward to hearing from you.
THank you!
Sophia

Re: Foundation colour help please...
Welcome!
I think in your untan pictures, you look like a Buttery Gold at about 1:6 (1 scoop color to about 6 white). In your other pic, your coloring seems to have warmed up a little. In Buttery Gold it would be closer to 1:4, but you might want to try Warm Gold at that point at 1:5. These ratios are starting points and you might have to adjust from there, but I can help with adjusting the color, too, if you can explain to me what needs changing.
For primers try Oil Control Blur or the Oil Control Primer in the tinted versions. For finishing, I think you need to try a sample of Tempt Tryst and possibly Love Lure.

Re: Foundation colour help please...
Hi jen,
I hope you had a good weekend.
I tried Buttery Gold 1:4 and it is quite a good match but may be slightly too pink/orangey?! but it is only very slightly!
Would you mind suggesting another mix with a more neutral undertone? do you think I should try an olive mix of some sort? Is there a way of finding the perfect collour match without having to use up all the ivory foundation?
I look forward to hearing from you.
Thank you!
Sophia

Re: Foundation colour help please...
Try adding a few more scoops of white and see what happens, like around 1:6. Sometimes an orangey cast means it is too dark. Buttery Gold is pretty neutral on its own and has very little in the way of pink/red. Buttery Gold is basically olive and golden tones. Adding Olive might help, but it is a really dark base and you will have to add several more scoops of white.sws2011 wrote:Hi jen,
