He's fine, not surprising as he has a penchance for eating weird things..like orange peels lol.

I wish he had gone for my Southern Praline instead though lol.

I have now had a chance to try some of my colors! Electra is gorgeous, and I love the feel of it on; I will definitely be ordering more of the colors of the ALG! Candie is definitely going on my "need to buy a full-sized" blush list. Doll is a bit scarier than I was anticipating it to be; I probably should have started with Gigi, instead. Doll is dark and bright at the same time, even with only one coat. And, I had a problem with product squishing out of the tube when was closing it.

Tomorrow I will give Malibu Miss a try.

@Sam- those swatches are incredible! I keep looking at them and thinking you could star in a remake of Rocky Horror ;)

@BFA- I'm glad to hear he's alright. Too funny about the orange peels- Bitsy likes 'em too. Her favorite is lemon wedges- I think maybe because they bite back.

@Ladybug- Glad to hear that you like the ALG's! Depending on how dark you like lippies, you might want to try Roxie next if you're into stains. Gigi is more neon/brighter than Doll, but Roxie is nice for toning things down a bit. Brown doesn't really appeal to me as a color- nude, yes, but brown almost never- but I find myself reaching for Roxie to layer on top of the other stains. It makes them deeper, more sophisticated.

Ohhhh Karen and the team, I <3 you, as always, but even more! Thank you for pushing aside your aversion to Exhibit A and duping it, Diablo is gorgeous!! *squeals* It needs a light hand to be sure, but wow is it pretty, pairs well with my other new love, Blaze! :D

The cream liner palette is adorable! I noticed Peacock was a bit different from the older full size pod I have, I just thought maybe it was a difference in batches! :P

Karen, all the new colors look awesome!! I got the clear ALG to go over Gigi. Will the ALG make the lip stain come off easier?? If so what can we put over them so there is a gloss that does not remove it? TIA :) :)

Lip Stain Swatch- one coat
Image

So far...the Gigi sticks around very well with one coat, even after scrubbing with soap. I have not gotten the oil out, yet. It does seem that two coats lasts better.

ETA: It is the second day, and I can still see them all on my hand. I have not tried oil, but I am a crazy hand washer....Gigi is still the most visible, and the other three are a little more faded. I do think the skin on lips sheds more quickly than hands, so it will last based on what you are eating and topping it with. Right now I am wearing Doll topped with Fanfare (at 6:30am!) Love it!

I think of all of the products lip stains are the most YMMV. I always wipe my lippie off before I eat, and I did notice that a little color came off when I did a combo of clear, and Doll. Not so much that I felt the need to reapply, but there was color on the napkin. The teeniest fly spec of dye is visible on a white surface though.

For me they last and last- like I can put them on, go out to dinner, and when I wake up the next morning they're still there. A little touch-up after eating is sometimes necessary depending on how vibrant you like the color. Val piles on the Doll and gets it to be a screaming magenta color, and I notice that she does need a touchup after lunch to get the vibrancy back (it looks wonderful on her)- but in the amount a normal person would wear it might not be necessary.

*groan* really? The lipstains are THAT GOOD??? Oh man...this is so unfair. I'm pretty sure Karen's goal in life is to break every girl's bank account. Why do I have to live so far away from NY. Shipping cost sucks!

yes, they're THAT good. I put 2 coats on to photograph around 5pm, put a gloss overtop to photograph, took a shower 20 minutes later, and in the morning tried to dull it down with argan oil (which took maybe 1 coat off. lol) and it was still vibrant. Better than my commercial marker-type lipstains for sure.
