Empty lip gloss tubes?

Post by Polychrome » Fri Aug 22, 2008 2:33 am

Hi Karen,

would you also sell empty lip gloss tubes? I sometimes mix my own lip gloss with your 'clear' and some eye shadow or blush and would like to have empty tubes for that. Due to my large amount of lip glosses (should be close to 30 now) I haven't emptied one yet.

In that sense could you please think about adding a 'Sandy' lip gloss? It is the most gorgeous lip colour and everything I hoped 'Pout' would be for me. Also 'Cashmere' makes a good lip gloss.

Thanks!

I wouldn't mind selling them to you, but they are a bear to pour individually- they tip over, or drip down the side- we have to use a special rig to pour them in the shop. For mixing your own it's a lot easier to mix them in 5 gram jars- it's how I do all of the tester ones that I make, and they're a lot easier to label.

Sandy gloss shouldn't be a problem- I'll try Cashmere, but I worry about that one shifting to brown too much.

Thanks, Karen, that would be great.

I didn't have problems with pouring the last time, making only one at a time removes of course the need for a holder. I have little metal measuring cups from Ikea (the kind that are usually used in the kitchen) and then just heat the gloss in a bain-marie, mix in the minerals and pour, no problems. It is just that after adding the minerals, the volume has increased, so I would prefer to have an additional empty tube and make two instead. The last time, I poured the overflow in a little jar but I personally prefer having lip gloss tubes (and ideally fitting to my SN collection :) ).

So would I just put the request in the comment box? And yay, a Sandy lip gloss.

Thank you!
